My worst experiance at any video game store....(Gamecrazy)
It's a losing battle to argue with people who think their time is so fuckin' important that they gotta be in and out in 5 minutes. Maybe I'm an asshole for voicing my opinion or maybe I'm just saying what others want to say but hold back on saying?

Either way, all I know is that the OP should have PATIENCE or CALL AHEAD FIRST to make sure they have what they're going there to get from now on.
There is no disputing that he should've spoke up. My comments to you have more to do with the way you post/talk to numerous people around here.
What I find completely stupid is that you can't find GTA IV at retail. Our CC is out, Target and Walmart too. Both GS are out and one in a nearby town didn't have enough to cover PREORDERs at the midnight opening.

Not having enough copies after hyping the crap out of this game for months is completely stupid. Shit, there should be stacks of this game everywhere and it will be next week before anyone gets it here. I ought to be able to buy it from the damn vending machine if I wanted to.

I'm not a fan of the series, but seriously, why the fuck do they let something like this happen? Rockstar is trying hard to NOT get bought out by the craptacular EA Games, so why don't they do as much as possible to make sure that there are enough copies of the game on the shelf?

TBW

PS There are plenty of PS3 copies, just not 360.
It's called keeping the demand fresh...

I'm sure they know what they're doing
First off, the OP has NO ONE to blame but themselves for not getting waited on for over 20 minutes. Second, if they think waiting 20 minutes is harsh and uncalled for, I can only imagine what happens if they go to a major amusement park on a day like July 4th with the sheer volumes of people in the parks then. Third, if they think that someone in their 20's is 'old', then well....how old is the OP? 15?

God forbid you have to wait 20 minutes, your royal highness, let us greet you as soon as you walk through our doors and bow and curtsey before your awesomeness. I actually PREFER to be LEFT ALONE when I first come into a store. If I get some asshat employee coming up to me wanting to 'help me' within the first 10 seconds, I'm very tempted to say 'yeah, I got an itchy ass, ya wanna help me scratch it? If not, fuck off till I think I need ya for something'. Pushy employees are a PAIN IN THE ASS!!! Of course, there's also been times when after you tell them you're 'just looking' that it then takes you 30 minutes just to find that aforementioned assclown to actually help you when you NEED the help.

As for the 'not getting it if ya didn't preorder it', that's how Gamestop was around here for the midnight release of GTAIV(or the special edition anyway). If the Gamecrazy is the only store around your area to get the game at or all others were sold out, then maybe they just SOLD OUT of copies? You ever think of that?

Oh and for the record, THERE and THEIR are not words that are able to be used in the place of each other. Below is the definitions for each, please learn them.

there: At or in that place: sit over there.
their: a form of the possessive case of they used as an attributive adjective, before a noun
Well I have never heard a better example of the phrase "It takes one to know one"

Well i don' agree with the OP either but i definitely don't agree with your rambling as well.
His problem was that he did not speak up for himself but your problem is that when you speak up angry ignorant garbage comes out.
Let me say it in a tone that you might understand.

God Forbid that you have to be Bothered the moment you walk into their store, your royal highness, how dare those peasants spoil your precious air by spilling their dirty words of Greeting to you.
They should just back away and clear a red carpet path for you, and if they don't your perfectly and rightfully able to insult them.
And when your in need of assistance how dare they be somewhere else and not be at your bidding at the instant of request.

See how ridiculous it sounds much like your post.

By the way you act if you were working at a game store, or any other store for that matter, you'll be much worst then them at customer service.

And that last high and mighty vocabulary correction comment was nothing more then a low blow attack at the OP to make yourself seem superior.
Congrats to you.

This is not a grade essay and the misused of the word "their" and "there" does not hinder the ability of anyone to understand what is trying to be said.

your just an angry asswipe ... so please, just calm down.

I apologize to the OP for being snippy, but I stand by my statements that if they spoke up, they would've found out that the item they went there for wasn't in stock and left and we wouldn't have had this thread.

I see TOO MANY of these Consumerist-like threads anymore, where the OP's have a sense of being entitled to not waiting longer than 30 nanoseconds to be waited on in a store and get snippy on internet forums if they are still there at 31 nanoseconds.

There's a thing called patience and maybe I have too much of it at times, since I would stand there and try to bs with the clerks to find out what's wrong and why the line is taking a bit of time to move. If it's just that one or more of the clerks is on break or they're having tech problems, then so be it, I can wait.

But yet, the OP went there to trade games to get credit towards the game they wanted, so why didn't they continue with the trades even after waiting 20 minutes? I mean, they could've put their name down for a copy and put a bit of that credit down on it, I'm sure.

That makes no sense as well, since they may just have to go back another day to do the deal again and end up waiting AGAIN, thus making ANOTHER thread. I promise I'll try to avoid that one.

Hmm...It must be some crappy employees. The local gamecrazy I go to is awesome. They ALWAYS greet every single person that comes in and asks if they need help with anything. I also love how they have every single game they have in stock on the wall in the the little placeholders. I also like the try before buying policy.

Hell, I even had a employee do trade ins AND ring me up on the second computer at the same time he was checking the disks. In my opinion, Gamecrazy is the best gaming store. Period.
