CAGiversary!
www.myview.com

I have not seen a post for this so I thought I'd get one going. Works just like the Gamestop Survey thru e-rewards in that you need to be invited or sign up thru a partners page. I believe that I got the e-mail after I signed up with Viewpoints.com so you can try that out. Otherwise I am have an e-mail out to them to see if they can help clarify on that. And hopefully there other CAGer's who have registered and can give some input.

Update: The surveys work on a point system. When a survey is available it will tell you the approximate time it will take you to complete the survey and how many points you will earn for completing it. If you answer all of the initial questions but don't qualify to complete the survey you are still rewarded 125 points. The points vary by the type of survey and length. I haven't seen any go below 350 and at least one that I have taken was worth 7000 points.

Right now they have a ton of different gift cards up. Here is a list:

Last week they also had up an Amazon.com Gift Card but it was quickly gone.

I can update more as any questions come up or any new info comes my way. I'll also update if new rewards come available.

Thanks!

I signed up becuase I got an email after I signed up for viewpoints.com...I think...if you look at at FAQ section of their website it says that you need to have registered with one of theri partners and sometimes you are chosen to partake in the surveys and that is how you sign up.

crazyivan19 signed up thru viewpoints.com today so we'll see if they post anything about getting a follow up email. Otherwise I have an e-mail to them asking if they can tell me any more specifics on how to sign up or who to sign up with.

I been apart of this site for a while now and I even mentioned it once or twice. but anyway it is a decent site and reliable. I was a member when all they offered was paypal, but since the new switch over they are faster with rewards and the surveys do seem to come consistently.

My advice for this site is to use it in conjunction with the others(gamestop, swagbucks, valuedopinions, etc.) to get bigger prizes since the reward level is kinda high with 7000 points equaling $5 for some rewards and on up.

The only negative I have about this site is that some times you disqualify for surveys and you still end up going through them completely only for the 125 points. Other than that I can agree on a whole this is a good site, so I would give it a B.

Do you recall how you got signed up for the program?

Actually I don't remember now that I think about it, but after researching the site I see that you have to be invited like the Gamestop survey.

hmmmmm let me list the sites I do so if you join them maybe you can get in as well

Mypoints, (I would guess this is the best way to get in)
RewardTv,
Gamestop Survey, (this is the most mysterious of them all since they select different people for all types of panels and focus groups)
Zoompanel,
Valuedopinions, (I just started here recently)
Globaltestmarket (I just started here recently)
BzzAgent,
Swagbucks, (this is actually the best site right now with the introduction of surveys) you can get over $50 a month in amazon GCs with dedication

Sorry I can't give a better answer right now but I will research this more to see if I can find ways to help other CAGs get in

I think the site you're thinking of though with all those gift cards is U-Talk-Back. MyView usually gives out Visa gift cards. But it looks like they're adding new rewards too, I guess :p.

@DarkKenpachi (great character by the way) & sangredekrazy,
I think to get into MyView and UTalkBack, you had to be invited by being a member of Gamespot.com and/or Gamestop. That's where I got mine (Gamespot) - every once in a while, while signed in, a pop up would ask people if they wanted to share their opinions. They used to do invites/referrals, but they don't anymore, so I'm not certain there's a way to get in anymore.

Here's all the places I use:
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=249030
(A lot of them are just links, not referrals)

PineCone & Chasen are my favorite, for sure, and MyPoints and Swagbucks are easy too. A lot of places will not pay for surveys or pay some ridiculous amount like 50 cents for 20 minutes. But of the ones you listed, MyPoints, GTM, BzzAgent, and Swagbucks are great.

Thanks for all the info and links @NathanOfLight, I'll for sure check them out.

I updated all the points on the first post. Amazon.com and Bustedtees are missing right now because they are not currently up for redemption.

It looks like they are adding other gift cards, hmm. Seems a lot of survey places are changing lately. Do you have any survey places I don't have? I usually like to "network" with people and share new links (if they're legit of course haha) together, especially focus group screeners.

Right now I only subscribe to MyView and E-Rewards and I just set up a Swagbucks account. If I do come across anything else that is not listed on your post then I'll let you know!

ohhhh I forgot to add Mysurvey on the list of sites I do. It is Legit and I average at least 100 in amazon GC's a year plus several sample surveys on food, shampoos, or other items that I never end up using. lol you don't need a referral to join, but if you do mypoints you should get a link to join sooner or later if you can wait

@NathanofLight Thank you Sir :) and yeah the gamestop surveys are really mysterious because they are the gateways to so many other sites and offers, thats why you have to do every survey you can.

@Sangredekrazy the amazon giftcards when up where for $15 at a value of 21000 points. I got one :) I should have got two I just wanted to see how fast the turn around was and it was 3 business days.

focus group sceeners are weird, but it also proves you have to sign up to everything because I got invited to a focus group on the people choice awards for 90 minutes and $100 dollars. not bad actually but I got the link to sign up through mypoints and then just joined peoples choice to get like 25 points or something.

All of this is to say, once you get the core survey groups down Gamestop(erewards or utalkback), Mypoints, and BzzAgent they offer you lots of other sites that give you stuff for your time. just sign up to everything and do what you can. You will get a rhythm to do it soon enough and make it easier for yourself

And they just e-mail you a code to use on Amazon.com?

yup they emailed it out 3 days after.

Ok to add to the list of stuff I do:

Epoll somewhat decent survey site-I use for Amazon.com giftcards
InboxDollars- I just click through all the emails and get like a check for $30 a year.

Yeah I'm doing the inboxdollars thing how long does it take to get a check from them??
Yeah I'm doing the inboxdollars thing how long does it take to get a check from them??
They actually take a while. took me over a month to get the check from them. Plus they charge a fee of like 2 or 3 dollars if I am remembering correctly. Not the best, but what can you expect for getting paid for click thrus? I only do their surveys when I am doing zoompanel or mypoints surveys at the same time with them. Though they do give referrals bonuses after your first check, but they aren't much. they still add up though.

Yeah, they take out a $3 fee, which is quite the chunk of the $30 needed to cashout, especially when you get 1 to 5 or so cents per mailer you read. But it takes only a few seconds to read and get credited for each mailer you read, so it's not too bad.

My check took two months to get here when I cashed out.

They got the Amazon.com Giftcards back up they are $15 for 21000 points basically $5 for every 7000 points. I just ordered my second one

Sweet! Had enough to order 2. Also have a new one up for "Think Geek" $20 virtual gift card for 28,000 pts.

Wow. One of my Gift cards already came! Hoping the other will come shortly as well.:applause:

Just a heads-up to anyone out there: if you are a member of the InboxDollars survey site, under the Cash Offers section, there is a link to sign up for MyView Surveys. Currently, it looks like it nets you $1.75 in InboxDollars for signing up for MyView.

I did this yesterday and I already have nearly 10,000 points on MyView.

Hope this helps someone out there looking to join.

You know, I just don't understand what the catch is here. I know it may sound kinda stupid, but giving away so many points that contribute to getting Gift Cards for sites like Amazon and Gamestop? Why doesn't everyone do this? I have worthless time all day  so if I signed up for say Swagbucks, I could just take polls and such all day and end up getting a bunch of GC's over time!? Sounds a bit too good to be true, although I am in the house of the skeptics all the time about everything.

because, if you really look at the per hour wage, with all the work and time you put into this stuff, its less than minimum wage. for swagbucks, the main way to get points is by signing up for things (netflix, credit card offers, free trials) then canceling them before you get charged. like i said earlier, its time consuming, not fun, and not really worth the effort most of the time. i just got a $20 check from toluna, but it took all kinds of surveys, and even more surveys half way done and getting kicked off.

Yeah it's really one of those things that you need to decide if you want to put the time in or not. I've been able to do the MyView surveys at work and at home while watching tv, etc and so far I don't feel it's been a waste of time. I don't mind doing it and the surveys are pretty easy. I had one that I got to watch a new episode of TV show and I got a ton of points for it.

Thanks "fullmetal" for the tip about the InboxDollars survey site!

The reason a lot of these survey sites pay too few is because there are dumbass people out there - especially old ladies who live with cats - that do nothing but take the surveys that pay nothing or $1 for 20 minutes. As long as people continue to take the surveys and give the companies the opinions they need, then the payments will stay low.

That's why, to get the most money, you have to weigh out the payment versus time. I won't take any survey that equates to less than $6 an hour. I don't do the offers, I used to but got a lot of spam... so what I try to do is focus on the high-paying surveys and focus groups (which I've never gotten a focus group that worked out to be less than $25/hr), and anything else I just delete.

And MyView and other sites I don't care for can be good, but for me, when I finally got up to a $25 visa gift card, it took too many hours, so your mileage may vary. Just gotta be smart about your time :)

OK so it looks like you can sign up for MyView thru SwagBucks. If you are already signed up for swagbucks then just go to the special offers and then at the top click on "View our no obligation offers and Win SwagBucks" and one of the offers there should be to sign up for MyView. If you are not registered for SwagBucks let me know and I can help you out.

as seen on the myview home page:

We are pleased to announce that our Refer-a-Friend program is coming soon. Now you can share the MyView experience with your friends and family. Earn 1000 MVP’s for every one of your referrals who becomes an active panel member! They win, you win and you BOTH win by improving the products and services you buy and use every day.

I'll post more once I know.

So how long and how many surveys would we need to fill out just to get, say, a basic level Amazon gift card? 125 pts per survey and the cards costing a billion points seems kinda high.

You get 125 if you answer the initial questions but don't qualify for the actual survey. The actual surveys vary from 350 pts and I've had others that ragne from 5000 to 7000 points.

just did a big survey for 100,000 points. journal thing where i had to sign in for 5 days. enough for 3 $25 amazon gift cards, not bad
