N64 Ram Expansion?

They occasionally have it at ebgames.com for about $23. I haven't tried but I'm assuming you can also use the discount codes with it.

I found my local EB has the Exp pack for 22.99 used yesterday, but they sell whole systems (sometimes with the exp pack - if it was traded in that way) for 17.99......... I've got the manager on the look out for one with an expansion pack, that will give me an extra controller and stuff too....

Thanks though everyone

... and was only needed with a few games. Right?

Correct. I believe you had to have it for Perfect Dark and maybe DK 64(?)

I had the expansion pack... and i didn't see any difference, but it came w/ my n64 and this was my 2nd 64 and it was after my ps2 so I guess thats why they looked like shit.

It came with DK64, which was terrible making the RAM expansion basically cost $55. But you needed it if you wanted to have any fun with Perfect Dark. So, $18 isnt too bad.

If you've got any kind of an N64 collection (say more than five games), the Expansion Pak is probably worth the $10-$15 investment you'll spend on it. While only a handful of games require it to play, enough other games (RE2, Star Wars Episode 1 Racer, Shadowman, etc.) can use it to enhance their visuals to the point that it's definitely worth owning, imho.

And can you still buy those games with the expansion pak now? Nope
