In the latest issue of Shonen Jump Magazine (Volume 5 issue 4, number 52) has some interesting info on a few of its anime video games.

I'll say the best first, Naruto Wii will be coming to North American shores this fall! Last month Shonen Jump and Tomy(the company that makes the Naruto video games) held a contest. The deal was send in a letter stating which Naruto character you'd like to see in a Naruto Wii game and you get entered into a drawing to win a Flat-Panel 32" LCD TV. Well if the character with the most votes is reasonable and isn't already in the Japanese Naruto Wii game then the character will exclusively be in the North American release! That along with many other things will be in the North American version that weren't in the Japanese release. Also Shonen Jump has many other things planned for this game. Some include developer interviews, a rundown of the games special features, character profiles, and possible game hints! The game is set for release this fall.

now this is either going to be two things, either a Wii enhanced version of the 3rd GC game or the Wii game that is coming out this week. I really find the first option much more likely, but I guess we wont know till there is a screen shot or two.

It really wouldn't make much sense for them to bring over Naruto Wii this soon considering everyone is in time skip form. How far are they in the US dub anyways?

its actually behind the anime, the manga is up to the final match between sasuke and Gaara,

edit: actually thats the graphic novels, in the manga, it seems the invasion is already taking place

Hurray, I was looking at Japanese games coming out and noticed that Shippuuden came out today! Is this the one that's coming to the WII in the US?
It looks pretty fun!

Also, finally the shitty anime fillers are over! If you are like me and stopped around Ep135, you are good to go, Shippuuden goes on from ep135.

ps, Sakura looks like a man now! ;)

Thanks OP!

I really hope they are bringing over Ninja Taisen EX.

I can always import 3/4 on Gamecube, I'd really like the new one. Would they skip over two full games (as well as parts in the Anime) to release the newest installment though?

If they care about not spoiling the story, they'll just be releasing 3, which takes places right about where the anime will be around the summer/fall.

From Narutofan.com:
The rumors have been confirmed, but they were only the tip of the iceberg! TOMY Corporation and D3Publisher of America, Inc. today announced the upcoming release of Naruto: Clash of Ninja MVZ (working title) for the Nintendo Wii – a head-to-head fighting game with content created exclusively for the North American market! Anticipated to ship in Fall 2007, Naruto: Clash of Ninja MVZ is based on episodes from VIZ Media's hit anime series Naruto and will include characters that have never been featured in the hit Clash of Ninja game series. The game will take advantage of the Wii Remote in fast-paced ninja action for up to four players in nine different gameplay modes.

The next generation in Naruto games will include all new character animations, new special attack animations and for the first time new interactive environments. Developed by Eighting, Naruto: Clash of Ninja MVZ takes advantage of the Wii system by allowing players to launch attacks with the Wii Remote using Ninja-like movements, and features special mini-games created exclusively for use with the Wii Remote. Naruto: Clash of Ninja MVZ will include 14 characters – including some that have yet to be featured in the Clash of Ninja game series. The fast-paced ninja action for up to four players will have nine different gameplay modes including Story Mode, Single Player and Multiplayer modes. Look for more information, right here, on this game as it becomes available!
Looks like the Naruto EX, or some modified form of it, is being brought over here.

I hope it doesn't turn out to be Naruto GNT! EX. That came wass rushed so bad. Nowhere near as good as GNT! 4. Nobody even considers it to be tournament worthy.

fuck they're dropping characters, just like they did in One Piece Grand Battle. Shit like this pisses me off. Would it really have been that hard to revamp the third Gamecube game rather then give us a butchered version of the new Wii game?
