Just noticed that NBA Elite includes a $20 e card. The e card is good on anything at walmart.com. The $20 e card will be sent to you immediately and you will be charged $20. When the game ships in October 5th you will be charged the remaining $40. Shipping is .97 cents or free ship to store.
Amazon is only offering a $10 credit right now.

Well I thought development of this franchise has switched over to the same team thats handles hockey.

I've followed each game very closely. 2K is beginning to release more and more information (including a demo), while EA has completely shut its doors on the game. It's possibly a coincidence, but I believe EA is running out of material to showcase. Also, if you breakdown a lot of the gameplay videos, 2K has definitely presented a more authentic feel to the game (dynamic crowds, real team offenses, ability to drive past bigger, slower defenders, presentation is top notch - including the halftime show). Check it out for yourselves if you haven't already!

However, I'm definitely going to wait for an Elite demo to drop before making any final conclusions.

Make sure you order a giftcard with the $20 credit from the website. You can have it mailed to you before the game comes out so you will have it when you pick up the game.

I would love to order this and flip it and just keep jam but it sucks that the version we get is not the same as the wii version. They cut out half of the game called "remix mode" which is a whole new campaign.. it looks really cool too.

I thought about doing the same thing, but I'm still very upset of how they are forcing people who only want NBA Jam on 360 or PS3 to buy Elite, plus how they nerfed almost all of the content of the Wii game out of it. I really don't want to buy any of them out of principle.
