NCAA 09- Big 10 Online Dynasty (Week 4- Play by 8/11- MAJOR NEWS IN OP)

I don't know, I haven't had cause to complain about the game yet, but my tolerance for freezes is pretty low, so we'll see whether I try the FrankySox method.

A DISCLAIMER I forgot to put in my method is that it WILL fix gameplay problems, but a new issue will arise, you will never be able to put it in your xbox again!

IDK I'm just really disappointed with the D this year, I'll get over it but I just didn't expect new problems to come out this year. Maybe I should try another team besides to Nebraska to defend the pass, but still I've never given up as many passing yards as I have this year. Also I only allowed like 175 yards rushing ALL SEASON my first year, that is just stupid.
 
I haven't had as much to complain about, but it could just be the teams I'm using.

Or the fact that my first game was a 84-3 win. :D

And considering I threw about 3 picks, it could have been even more lopsided. Hopefully when I play a real team it will be a bit more level.
 
Kennistond/Michigan State still has to play. He and 4 others need to do recruiting. 8 P.M. Pacific time tomorrow night is your deadline.

Oh fux, I knew I forgot something. I just kinda forgot everything after I somehow lost to Duke...
 
I played my game yesterday but ended up going out for my birthday so I didn't update. I won 42-21. It would have been more, but I had a pick 6 called back and a drive stopped at the goal line at the half.

My 2 best offensive players were injured. Aurrelius Benn was hurt but only missed a couple minutes. Juice Williams was injured in the 1st and was out for the game, but Eddie McGee filled in nicely, going 9/11 with 146 yards, 1 passing TD, and 2 rushing TDs.

As of yesterday, kennistond and Its Orange Baby have yet to play their games. Those 2 and 2 more of you haven't done recruiting yet.

Kennistond didn't play last week. If he misses this week, he'll be replaced.
 
You either already played your game, or you're the guy with the bye week. i think it's the latter. Anyway...

That was the response to the PM I sent to kennistond/Dmackin01. I guess we need to find a replacement for MSU, and maybe Michigan if Orange doesn't start playing/checking the thread.
 
I prefer NCAA to Madden ATM, so I'm not going anywhere.

By the way, Matt, if you DO plan on starting a Madden league, I want in, and I want to be the Chargers :) :) :)
 
I'm not starting a Madden league. I'm playing in one, but that's it. I just wanted to know who would be sticking with me in this one.
 
Good... I'm planning to stick with this as long as possible, no matter how many people I have to replace (which hopefully won't be any).

Well, we definitely need a replacement for Michigan State, and more than likely Michigan as well. If you want to be State, you can play today. If you want to be Michigan, I'm giving the guy one more day to get back to me.

When do you want to try our CAGCAA game again?
 
I'll take MSU, but I don't know if I can fit in another game today if we play the Tenn/Illinois game.

Also, is your friend list full? I've accepted your requests two different times and it still doesn't show you on my list.

Anyway, the invite has been sent for you as Michigan State. Its Orange Baby/Michigan played, so no problem there.
 
Matt, I don't think I set ready to advance. You can do it for me or whatever. I'm done with my recruiting. Weekends suck for me as I work 12 hour overnights all weekend.
 
Normally I buy Madden and NCAA, but the wife nixed that this year lol. I'll definitely be sticking with this dynasty in NCAA. Probably a good thing anyways; I actually enjoy the college game more.
 
Ah, just realized I forgot to set my Team to ready. I won't get home until late tonight, so go ahead and just set me as ready also.

All right. As of right now, we don't need any replacements since Dan has his system working again, but I'll let you know if we need to replace him or anyone else.
 
Week advanced. My friend Kenny decided to just quit for no reason and without informing me, so we need a replacement for Michigan. Moonknight?

Also, I want to know how I dropped from #18 to #19 despite being undefeated and winning my last game by 3 touchdowns.

EDIT: Kenny said he quit due to me quitting his dynasty. I quit that one because it advanced a game per day, so I had only played 2 of 8 games due to being busy, and no one but myself, Kenny, and one other guy made an effort to play. Oh well.

Well, the towel trick has failed and I've called for the coffin. I will be playing my games at my friend's house for the time being. Matt, we play next week. What are some good days for you?

OK, then we should be able to play our game next week. Maybe Tues or Wed. Possibly Thurs. I can go over to my bud's around 6pm eastern time, after the wife gets home from work.
 
Well, scratch that plan. After double digit freezings over the last few weeks, my disc (with no scratches or smudges) decided to stop reading altogether. I tested all 29 of my other games, and all work fine.

The timing sucks since we were just about to get into Big Ten play, but I'm done with this game. I considered exchanging it for another copy, but after playing 40-50 games, its flaws have become very apparent. It already felt dated, like Madden 08 basically with a different coat of paint. But then I kept noticing consistent flaws in the pass defense, comeback AI, and freezing (none of which were a problem in Madden 08) so I said fuck it. EA is letting me exchange it for NHL 09.

I just got off the phone with FrankySox. As one of my most trusted CAG friends, I wanted to see if he'd take over. He accepted. Apparently, if I retire, he can recreate the dynasty (with all stats/records intact) by saving the dynasty file as it prompts us all to do each Monday when I update. So whenever I can get my friend to bring over his copy, I will let Franky know so he can save the current stats/results, then I'll retire and he'll remake the dynasty, and you all can continue normally.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but thanks for being good about getting games in on time. I hope the dynasty continues to be successful under the rule of Franklin Quincy Sox, Junior.
 
We haven't transferred ownership yet. I'll hopefully get to use a friend's copy tomorrow. I will post here as soon as it all goes down, and I will first make sure that Franky saves the file so that any recently played games have their results counted.
 
Bump...everyone still planning on sticking with this? I know how these things can go sometimes, and if this dynasty goes down I would really like to start looking for another.

I was wondering the same thing. I have not been able to use my friend's copy yet, but if it is possible to use the same saved files you would after I retire, but do it now, I say do it. I'll have to talk to FrankySox.
 
I'm so sorry for the extended delay, but I finally got my friend to bring his copy over. I'm retiring from the dynasty, and then FrankySox will recreate it with himself in charge soon, so you can all get back to playing.

Well I talked to Matt and he had to retire before I got to save it. He tried to get a hold of me over the phone but I couldn't be reached at the time. I thought we were starting at week 4 and someone else had it saved. Not sure what's going on as the dynasty doesn't even show up on my screen anymore. I would really like to continue this.
