Hey guys, since NCAA Football 09 will be out in a couple of weeks, I'd like to start off the CAGCAA (Cheap Ass Gamer Collegiate Athletic Association) online dynasty sign-up process now to get things set-up. Since there's the possibility of multiple dynasties being formed on CAG, I wanted to take this simple route to see who's interested in what kinds of league. Online dynasties offer a great chance to involve up to eleven other people in a mode that was traditionally just a single-player affair, but now you can fight with eleven other teams from around the country or in your conference for the #1 rankings, bowl bids, and even the blue chip recruits, too.
First off, this poll will allow you to sign-up for whatever kind of dynasties you'd like to join, which I will explain the types in a second. Just click on the dynasty type(s), submit, and you'll be in line to join a dynasty. Then you need to post the Top 5 teams you'd like to have, though if you're in multiple dynasties, please post additional corresponding lists. Feel free to see who may already be in your dynasty group and adjust your Top 5 list accordingly, though you may only need three teams or so for just a conference dynasty. When a league is finalized, I'll let you guys know what teams you're in control of and let you know what's up when the game's launches nears, though if you're in a group with another commissioner, they will be the ones to get in contact with you.
Dynasty Types:
Open National Dynasty - Open to any team across the nation without any conference requirements.
Closed National Dynasty - Open to any team in the nation, but will be limited to 2-3 conferences to offer a good mix of conference and national play.
ACC Dynasty - A dynasty consisting only of teams in the ACC.
Big East Dynasty - A dynasty consisting only of teams in the Big East.
Big Ten Dynasty - A dynasty consisting only of teams in the Big Ten.
Big 12 Dynasty - A dynasty consisting only of teams in the Big 12.
Pac-10 Dynasty - A dynasty consisting only of teams in the Pac-10.
SEC Dynasty - A dynasty consisting only of teams in the SEC.
Second, we will need commissioners to run these dynasties. I won't be able to commish every dynasty, but I will take one, probably the Closed National Dynasty if we fill that up. If you're really interested in a type of dynasty and would like to volunteer your services as dynasty commissioner, let me know and I'll add you to the list of commissioners. Before you sign-up for commissioner duties, please take the time to check out the PDFs that EA has uploaded to their blog to see how dynasties work and what your duties as commissioner entails. I'm thinking that once a dynasty is formed, it would probably be best to split off into your own thread, so you have one thread per dynasty to prevent clutter.

I highly recommend reading these not only if you're looking to be a commissioner, but even if you're only interested in playing in a dynasty, too, because it has a lot of info on just how the whole thing works and how flexible of an experience it can be. Do keep in mind that there's a lot to read, so don't try to rush through them.
If you have any further questions or suggestions, feel to post them.
