NCAA Online Dynasty

I'm up for trying it. If you want to group up in the other thread, let me know.
Yea, I am down. You want a phantom or resell?

I would love to do an online franchise but I'm pretty sure I'm only getting the ps4 version. How would you suggest doing one? We obviously aren't going to play 162
I'll be getting the PS4 version also, so down for both. We can definitely play a shorter season, I just don't know what the options are at the moment. Anyone else know?

No way, man. I don't have that many...I have 13 active slots, and two of those are my own and my wife's accounts. I had South Park and Lightning, but I finished both last week. Then I have a random EU plus account, which expires next month so I'll probably just delete it. I've been moving through games pretty quickly in the last month. But now that MGS and FFX are here, that will end.

I'm actually not available until Sunday night but will definitely be playing the whole night Sunday if you're around. If you're a basketball fan 2k14 is phenomenal on PS4 (no idea if it's any different than PS3 though). I've also played Lego Marvel which I'm sure is the same but it was good. Killzone I've only played the first level and while it looks awesome I can't say that it was anything special gameplay wise (hence why I played the first level and then put it aside). I have COD and Knack but haven't played yet. Resogun is good as is Dead nation.

I have spent the vast majority of my ps4 playtime with nba. Want to play madden Sunday and maybe co-op Dead nation on ps4 too?

I hear ACIV is terrific by the way. I'm most looking forward to playing that, Metal Gear, and Infamous but I've got to get through those others first.

Just luck, you outplayed me from there on. I need to stop playing so conservative against you if I get a lead. Holy crap, I thought for sure you were gonna snipe me towards the end.

Capt - I lost 28-23. I scored my first possession and then yanks scored 28 straight to lead 28-7 after 1 quarter

I beat the Eagles, can't believe how well their system runs with Pat White at the helm, but it does. EJ had 3 TDs at halftime and I benched him, along with Spiller and Stevie Johnson to rest for the playoffs. My backups went off even more, Thad Lewis tossed 4 TDs and Michael Smith rumbled for 120 yards as we pulled away from them even more.

Bills finish at 15-1 and will be waiting for the Jets in the playoffs to defend their Super Bowl title. It's gonna be awesome.

On the NCAA front, CC, do you still want to play those? If not, can you toss me the commish duties? Last time I checked, you were still in charge there.

Sorry about NCAA. I thought I changed it. I'll switch it over to you. I think I'm laying off it for a while but who knows, I might play when I sign in to transfer. We'll see and I'll let you know. Haven't really been feeling it lately for whatever reason (I think partially it's that it's not football season and madden plus NCAA seems redundant at the moment. I think my backlog is weighing on it too. I have so many games that I really want to play like GTA V, Saints Row, Tomb Raider, Batman origins, Dragons Dogma, Red Dread Redemption, Castlevania Mirrors.....my god the list is never ending....Puppeteer, South Park, Bioshocks 2 and Infinite.....)

Completely understandable, and you can hop back in whenever you feel like it. I have the exact same backlog, minus Tomb Raider and Bioshock 2, as I have beaten those already. How's NNK treating you?

Really enjoying NNK. I would say I'm only about 7 hours in at this point though because I've only been playing it on Sundays when I have a big chunk of time for it. I typically play most weekdays for 30-60 minutes and I feel that a game like that needs much more time than that to beat a level or complete a task, so I've been sticking with nba, dead nation and marvel during the week for short pickup and play sessions. Hope to sink in a lot more time this upcoming weekend.

I'm glad you have a similar backlog. I thought it might be just me that has put so many AAA titles into the backlog and haven't touched them yet.

Played madden and beat the chiefs 27-17. Boyd was decent, had 292 with a pick and no TDs. Ivory returned with two touchdowns. Britt caught 244 yards. Finished 11-5.

I beat the Cowboys to ensure I'll get a nice middle of the pack draft pick. I really should have tanked to get a higher pick, but oh well. At least I didn't finish last...thanks Dolphins!

Will I have to advance each week during the playoffs even if I don't have any games? If so, just let me know when you guys finish your games so I can move it along and not hold you up.

Cool, thanks man. Let me know whenever you get the first round of the playoffs done.

On a side note, I finally got my Madden plat..feels good. It's only my 4th, but its my 3rd this year. I'm gonna pass you soon CC.

I might go for NCAA next, especially since it is going to be the last NCAA game for a little while. I hope you don't sell off your copy CC so maybe we can do it all over again next season.

You just got good man. Crushing CPU on All Madden, destroyed MUT finally, and giving us good games. I want to see what you can do with a full season and a healthy team.

Hahaha I would assume that next is likely our last season of madden anyhow. With MLB coming we will be into that and by the time next season finishes it may be summer and the new madden will be coming out. I'm definitely not selling NCAA. Hopefully someone will create new rosters and we can keep playing last year's with correct rosters.

I probably will keep chugging along. I apparently haven't hit my breaking point with football yet, but who knows, maybe baseball will change that.

I think I'm even hitting my breaking point with NBA, which I have played far, far too much this year. I did a fantasy draft and am in the playoffs of my third season with the Blazers. I've accumulated a mass of talent via trades and free agency but have lost in the 1st round of the playoffs the last two years. Really hoping to win the championship this season. The core of my team is Harden, Rubio, Blake Griffin (new addition this season). Man I love this game. Ok maybe I haven't hit my endpoint with it.

So when you guys play, do you usually amp up the difficulty in these sports games? I'm more of a fantasy guy an deny my games more when I'm blasting 80 HRs a year with 5 different guys. Or winning 25 games and allowing no runs.

I seek the perfect balance personally. I don't want to play hall of game difficulties where I can only win by playing cheap and I also don't want to hit 80 HRs with David Wright. I want a result that is as realistic as possible, but one that awards if play to my potential and make good trades, ie mets should be a struggle to make the playoffs and then to the World Series in a year or two.

I enjoy both aspects, but as of late, I prefer a more realistic approach. Though with Madden, it is difficult to not set records at some point with some players. If I used the Wildcat with Spiller, he would have had 4 to 5 thousand yards rushing. Even as it stands, he amassed close to something like 2500 yards (haven't looked, so not for sure, but I know he broke the record with a few games to go) with about 5 to 6 different counter plays, a few tosses and a few isos. Just look at my backup, Michael Smith. Rated like 65 or something, but he is quick. In one half of football, he carries 7 or 8 times for 120 yards in my final game. It is ridiculous.

If I hadn't had a stud like Spiller, I am sure EJ would have broke a few records. Madden AI is still the biggest thing that holds that game back from being great. It is still quite exploitable once you get used to it. I don't feel that way about MLB: The Show, there are no money plays. So even if you're a really good player, you can still have a shitty day..just like in the real sport.

Madden against humans is completely different though. I can pound some playstyles like there is no tomorrow, but then some guys that just play a good all around game like CC can give me constant problems.

Thanks for the compliment. I agree that AI keeps all of these sports games from taking the next step. MLB has the smallest effect, Madden the biggest. The problem with Madden, which is also the good thing, is that your average play is much more successful than the average nfl play. They've perfected getting realistic scores and standings, but not realism in the gameplay. So the result looks real, the stats look real, and it's fun, but it also can be abused when you realize your average rush is 10 yards.

NBA has similar issues but less balance because they inflate the successful shooting percentage to make it fun, but playing 6 min quarters you still only get scores in the 60s and 70s and you never have realistic stats for the whole team - just for one player. You can average 35 a game with durant, but Westbrook isn't going to average 19 like he would in real life. And sefalosha off the bench certainly can't then also average 12 because with the inflated percentage and limited time there aren't enough shots to go around. And Ibaka can never get 15 boards because there aren't enough missed shots.

NBA CPU made a huge leap this year but it's still more competitive playing a human. Madden it's night and day. The show we will find out soon.

With one throw, Tahj Boyd cemented himself as the future of the Jets franchise. With 6 seconds left in the half, up 21-17, everyone assumed the Jets would run and take a lead into the half. Everyone except Boyd, would ripped off a gorgeous spiral downfield for an 80 yard TD. In one play, all the rumors of the Jets drafting Manziel or Bridgewater vanished.

Thereafter it was all J-E-T-S, with Boyd leading the romp of the Colts 42-24. When the game ended the rookie had 380 yards. 5 TD's, no interceptions, and even ran in a 6 touchdown. Ladies and gentlemen, the future of the New York Jets, Tahj Boyd.

Also Ivory ran three plays and got hurt again and is out for 2 weeks, as is Quinton Coples. All aboard the train to Buffalo.

fuck yea, lets do it. If you happen to see this, can you play around 11:00?

I knew from the time I first played you this season that Boyd was the real deal, just needed a little time to develop. Huge difference between him and Geno.

I got 3 NCAA games in this morning..beating Michigan St has put me in the drivers seat for the division title. Switching to my (inferior) backup Sophomore QB has definitely paid off.

I'm probably not getting home until late tonight. What about tomorrow night? I should be around Saturday morning/afternoon too.

That's cool. I'm going out after work tomorrow night, so don't know when I would be home. If I get home early enough, I'll send ya a message. If not, we can get it in Sat morning or afternoon.
