Need a brand-new PS2... any known deals?

So my brother's second PS2 bit it this morning, and he's looking for a new one. Wondering if anyone might happen to know any cool ways to get some money off or get something free with the console, as long as we're in the market. Any help would be appreciated.

What's wrong with the PS2, maybes there is a way you can fix it.
 
Well, he dropped it... and the disc drive will no longer eject. The power works, you can access the GUI, etc. He called Sony, and it's basically going to be around $90 to fix, if it even can be fixed, and he'd have to pay for shipping to Sony just to find out if it's actually fixable. For the price difference, he'd rather go with new than refurbish the busted one, especially if there are any good deals. I've done plenty of searching in every place I know of and can't find a thing, so that's why I thought I'd ask here. Hopefully somebody knows of something I don't.
 
Take it appart and see if theres anything that just popped loose... see if you can plug it back in... if not, pry the tray open and put a game in. If it loads you can buy a top loading cover.

That does sound that hard to fix. I've had the drive tray stuck before, there's a little white mechanism in the drive that sits in a track on the drive tray, its probably misaligned and that's whats cuasing it to be stuck.

If you're brave you can open it up and try to fix it. Oherwise you can seal the thing on eBay you should be able to get at least $50- $60 bucks on it. I don't know of any Ps2 deals, but you could try buying a bunch of cheap games and trading them in for credit and use that to buy a new PS2. FYE/Wherehouse would probably be your best bet, if you got a wherehouse near you even better cause they don't make you buy the PS2 in a bundle. Good sources for cheap games are Target, Toys R Us and Game Rush's buy 2 used get one free deal.
 
I'm looking to sell mine.

It's seriously like-new because of the fact that I've only played it once since I got it. According to my cousin its also one of the most relaiable models that sony made. I'll ask him to tell me how to check for the model.

Pm me with an offer if you're interested. Goes for anyone here too. This thing is so well taken care of you wouldn't noticed it was used.
