mine are starting to smell and the bottoms are starting to turn so I need a new pair. Anyone know a good place to order from?

preferably looking to spend less than 100 (80-90 would be awesome)

also I think the model I have are the Arizona's if that makes any difference

Breaking in new Birks are tough, when mine begin to wear I sent them to a cobbler and got them re-soled and cork resealed for about $30 dollars. It was worth it in my opinion. But if you're shoes are really damaged or the shoes stink too bad, new is the way to go.

If you have a Sam's Club membership, try there. Last summer, I brought some for my mom for $35. They were Betula by Birkenstock, a now phased out subdivision of the Birk brand. Therefore they're very cheap to get and a steal because they offer a greater variety of styles, material, and footbeds than the classic Birks. The ones I got my mom, looked exactly like my Arizona style birks.

They are also easily avalible at various wholesale or closeout stores. If you don't have a sam's card, they have some at overstock.com for $49.99. Or just do a Froogle search on "betula by Birkenstocks" most of the styles/colors of these Birks (from 2 strap, 3-strap, or clog) are possible to get in the $49.99 range.

what do they do when they resole them? They don't stink near like the pair I had before, but they just lost all the stuff on top that gives you grip and if they get wet they are going to stink really bad (my other pair did and they are now unwearable). I have a birkenstock store about 15 minutes from where I live, would they be able to do this?

also thanks for the eBay link, but I did not really find a color I liked. It is going to make me check out some other sellers before I buy in a store (I never would have thought to buy shoes on eBay)

When you get your birks resoled, they replace the black part of the shoe and reseal minor cracks in the cork. But an excellent cobbler can fix any problem a birk may have, no matter how big and its still cheaper than getting a new pair.

Oh man, I didn't realized you lived in Raliegh, NC. I went to NCSU, when I had a birks problem (three years ago). Straight off campus there is this excellent Birk cobbler at the Man Mur Shoe Shop on Hillsborough St

My mom has went to this shop for shoe repair for years. They are miracle workers and can give the most broke down Birks a new life. The prices are afforable, staff is friendly, it took maybe a week to get my shoes fixed, and their work is outstanding. As an avid Birk fan, I deeply recommend them.
