Need a good deal on a Digital Camera

Well I officially hate Olympus and their cameras... This morning after a year of trouble with the camera (randomly decided when to work and when not to....) my digital camera finally decided to fry itself on the AC adapter. A quick call to Olympus proved as helpful *sarcasm* as all the others and to make a short story of it, it'll cost $93 to repair Olympus' mistake.

So instead of continuing with crap I've decided I need something new. Anyone know of any good deals (or reccomend any camera) on digital cameras? Don't need all the fancy bells and whistles just something to take pictures with.

Anything comparable or better I'd be interested in. Should've bought the HP cameras they had around christmas for $100 after rebate, arrggg I hate Olympus.....

might be out of your price range, but the canon 300d (digital rebel) is the best digital camera I've owned.. bensbargains listed a deal here:

Thats the camera that was $100 after rebate around christmas time and my brother loves his. Might just have to make a trip to walmart and see if they have it =(

I love Olympus cameras you probably just had a bad one or something, every one I've had has been wonderful.
