looking at GH or 30 or below games... for the PS2 specifically.. that and console specifics..

I have an xbox and a lot of games that i love and some cross over on the PS2 i just recently got a PS2 and I am looking for some games for it..
currently for my PS2 i own
Tekken 4
Kingdom Hearts
MTV Music Gen 3
Devil May Cry 3

I'm looking really for RPG style (well , i'd really like game more like KOTOR..) action and puzzle are perfectly ok too.. I just want some recommendations on the either "cheap used" or "cheap new" games..

I liked DMC 3.. i would probably like the first one. but i think i'm going to hold off until i finish 3. I have xmen Legends i like games like that one. I also love games like Star Wars Battlefront.. I love halo 2, but no FPS has even come close to topping that game in my opinion so i wouldn't want a recommendation.. I understand that the PS2 is famous for RPGs.. I'm also not big into FF X.. or MMORPGs.. and I don't really like sports games all that much (even though i'm waiting for a drop on NBA Street 3).. which Tony Hawk game is better 3, 4, or underground 1, 2? .. i don't really care for graphics wise i mean like straight up playability.. and are any of those Online?..

sorry for all the questions.. thank you for anyone who decides to help me.
Rob

katamari damacy, without question... 19.99 anywhere you find it, is what you should buy

edit: and Tony Hawk Underground 1 was the best TH in my opinion

Agreed! Katamari Damacy is awesome! The soundtrack alone is worth it! :D
Shadow Hearts or Shadow Hearts 2. They are about 30.
He said he didn't like FFX, and I'm sorry despite a very quirky story and tone both are very similar to the Final Fantasy series.

All the best exclusives IMO:

Downhill Domination
Final Fantasy X
Getaway, The
Getaway, The: Black Monday
God of War (probably not under $30)
Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
Jak II
Jak 3
Katamari Damacy
Killzone
Kingdom Hearts
Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil
Maximo vs Army of Zin
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Ratchet & Clank
Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando
Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal
Rise to Honor
Time Crisis 2

thanks for the replies.. i liked some final fantasy but after you play KOTOR you just expect more out of an RPG then what a FF generally gives you. I've been mentioned to get God of War for a while now is it really the make or break game for the system?

I disagree. Shadow hearts is a great choice! There is more game play, less cinamas. the judgement ring(battle system) in the shadow hearts games is very fun.

I'm working on the 1st SH and I think I'm about half way though or more, And it's a blast!

Katamari Damacy made me sick, literally, and no other game has ever done that to me. God of War is pretty slick, but short. I'd rent it or at least wait for the GH release.

 No, god of war is just another game, it's enjoyable but it makes a much better rental than a purchase.

I suggest Star Ocean Till the End of time, it's more of a live action RPG and now that it's a GH it only costs $20 at Target.

Pick up Rygar. It's fairly similar to DMC, and it has more of a RPGish "fantasy" setting, to boot. Plus it's an awesome, awesome PS2-exclusive AND very cheap like everywhere aside from Wal-Mart. I got it for $5, would have paid up to $25.

Edit: Here, buy it off of this guy:

You won't regret it if you're a DMC fan, imhhho. You may also be interested in Onimusha, all 3 of which can be found for $15 or less a piece.

THPS 3 is the best of all of the Tony Hawk games. Hands down.

^ Never played anything past 1 or 2 nearly as much as I played those, so 2 stands out in my mind as the best. By far it has my favorite soundtrack. I enjoyed 4 for a while, but with most of them after 2 it just seemed like they were trying too hard. Then once they hit this whole Underground thing (Bam vs Tony...wtf is wrong with the average MTV loving consumer?) I basically gave up on it. And yet, I'm still looking forward to Tony Hawk's American Underground.

Seconded. Yes, they are online, but with PS2 you need the internet adapter. THPS3 is pretty empty now (I went on about a year ago and there was like five people on. ), and I haven't tried any of the newer ones online.

I had a bunch of ideas but everyone else mentioned them already.
