Nice, I'm in Seattle right now and posting from the new Tablet PC.

They are going to let us keep the PC (if we get through the year) and they are also giving us a new Palm Treo phone (!!!) with a year of free phone service. People went wild when they said that. Basically, our salary just doubled.

Holy crap!

Man, I really wish I was there. That sounds fantastic though, I figured the PC would just be a lease, and I need a new phone too.

I figure the phone we get to keep as well right, just not the continuing of the free service?

Yep, we get the phone, but not the service.

I just signed up im starting college today at FCC (Fresno City College) in Fresno, California. So just wondering are there any companies doing anything there.

Thanks to whoever signed up under me!

So, I'm back from the orientation now. Lots of cool stuff about Vista, Office, 360 and what's not. I think I'm still under NDA, but some of the demos were fresher than previously expected.

Also, some high points: 1) Microsoft has a never ending cooler of sodas and fruit juice 2) Everyone (from taxi drivers to students) has a story about Bill Gates 3) The EA rep gave out games as prizes for trivia 4) The Gateway rep gave out rare extra batteries for our Gateway Tablets as prizes for random trivia 5) Palm gave away $100 AmEx cards as prizes for random trivia 6) Microsoft sent us to GameWorks for 3 hours and paid for everything.

All in all, a pretty great weekend.

Man that sounds so sweet.

Too bad I would never represent Microsoft in that kind of way. It's just wrong. But it does sound like a sweet job. I wish Apple offered a job like this.
