need a new PS3 any good buys

Hey all,
im in the market for a new PS3 as the opticle drive on mine died on me last night and i refuse to pay $150+ for sony to fix it when i can buy a new system for $300 w/full waranty+bigerHD+etc.etc (was 40gig fatboy)
Any help would be apreciated as i just bought GoW3(havn't got to play yet) and FF13(was playing this when it died) and im starting to twitch lol
and im cheap so i want goodies with my new system lol, used to be bundles and deals all over the place, now that i need one i can't find one hehe

Amazon Warehouse Deals has the 120GB for $265. Warehouse Deals sells stuff that Amazon won't sell on their site because it has been damaged in some way, as in the box, or maybe a slight scuff. It's all under the same policy as Amazon though so you'll get the free shipping and same customer service.

Replacement laser? That should run you less than 50% of the cost of a new PS3.

A lot of credit cards will double the warranty for any item purchased with the card. So if you bought it less than 2 years ago and paid by CC, you may be covered by the CC company.

Yes it would cost 50% less to have the old system fixed, but i look at it as an upgrade opportunity from the old 40gb system to a newer more efficient up to date model
(note i plan to buy the parts and fix the old PS3 myself since the parts only cost about $50, and pass it on to my brother.), and i paid cash at walmart on a black Friday deal 3+ years ago, so well past any warranty.
