need a white nintendo DS

I promised to buy my wife a white Nintendo DS, and I ordered one this week at gameexpress.com, but they came back today and said, sorry, now they're all out. So I'm sort of stuck paying $170 from lik-sang or play-asia unless I can find another good deal. Anyone seen a good deal on this or have one for sale?

My local import store in Chinatown (NYC) called JnL has it for $140. I was suprised they also dropped the price for the import DS'es also.

I have never imported in my life and I am just wondering if getting an imported DS will it play exactly the same as a US version? Basically what are the differences between them? If any.

The DS' main menu is in Japanese. That is all

you can change the language on the ds also and theres no region coding for the games

Well from what I understand is you can change the language of the menus on your DS so there would be no difference b/w an imported DS and an American DS. The DS games are no region protected so they play on either system same with GBA games.

Well, live and learn.

If anyone is interested in a graphite, turquise, or red DS, the best retailer is www.gameexpress.com . They sell for $138.xx and shipping is only $7.xx for two units. They said it may be like a month before they get more white ones.
