Need Advice for Mobo + Dual Core

CaptainPlanet!

CAGiversary!
So I'm looking for a decent Mobo to run a 2.3 - 3.0 Ghz Intel Dual Core CPU. SLI would be nice, and at least 2 slots for ram. $250-300 total.

What kindof options do I have as far as Mobo + CPU for
well, its not an intel, but its an amd processer with a fairly decent mobo. you should probably check it out yourself.

note that shipping will cost you about 30 dollars unless they have a free shipping deal.
That's a terrible recommendation, CPU is at least 2 years old, crappy motherboard, and has everything that CaptainPlanet doesnt need.

If you want SLI, you must get nVidia chipset motherboards. Don't even bother with the 650i/680i series, go for the newer 750i chipset, such as this board:

Asus P5N-D ($149.99)

Keep in mind that having a SLI motherboard will cost more than non-SLI (duh) by about $50. So think about whether you'll TRULY use the SLI or not. If not, you might as well just go for this to save money:

Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L ($99.99), or
Asus P5K ($99.99)

And pair with an Intel CPU such as:

Intel E8400 3.0GHz ($199.99), or
Intel E7200 2.53GHz ($134.99) if you're short on cash.

2nd on that Gigabyte mobo.

I have that one in my rig with the e6750 and it runs fantastic.
