need advice on Snes mini

My friend gave me a Snes mini and i was wondering if anyone can tell me what its worth. If it uses the same power supply as a regular snes. And i heard that there's many fake ones out there so can anyone tell me for things to look for to see if its fake. If it has a serial number is it legit?

I haven't checked in a while, but the systems themselves aren't usually worth much.

Take a snapshot of the unit, we will be able to sniff out a fake in an instant.
