Anyone have recommendations of books to read this summer? I will be working a lifeguarding job this summer at a beach for 7 hour shifts. People rarely come so I will need things to do. There is only so long a DS can sustain you. So does anyone know of any good books that someone who doesn't read really at all would like?

The Road by Cormac McCarthy
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S Thompson
Hell's Angels by Hunter S Thompson
The Rum Diaries by Hunter S Thompson
The Testament by John Grisham
World War Z by Max Brooks

I'm reading The Road as well right now.

I just finished Moneyball which was great if you're into Baseball.

Also reading Grand Theft Childhood about the latest research into violent video games and their effect on children.

Thanks for some suggestions guys.

I went over to the library and got

The Road
I Am America (And So Can You!)
Moneyball

Keep the suggestions coming haha.

June-September job. 20-30 hours a week with not many people actually swimming means lots of reading and stuff.
