$120 is a pretty slim budget......go over to www.steves-digicams.com and start your search there. If all you want to do is take photos for ebay, you can get a cheap 1 megapixel camera for like $25 bucks that ought to suit your purposes.

Picking a digital camera isn't easy, each model has a strength and weakness. Depends on whats important to you.

If you actually want to take pictures that you can print, or pictures that will look good output to a screen or dvd or photo CD or something, then 2 megapixel should be your entry point.

If you can't find anything that low and raise your budget at all, I just got done doing a bunch of research online and ended up with the new Canon PowerShot A510. It's $199, but it was getting better reviews than most cameras for the same price. So far I'm quite happy with it.

Hope this helps!

allrite thanx i'ma look into those, i've seen some on ebay going for pretty cheap thats y i wanted to create a lil budget for the camera, only thing was i dont know much about em, something important is that they look good on the computer, i dont care so much about printing them

just figured out my sister's sony digital handycam DCR-PC9E PAL can take pics with the memory stick and i could just transfer it through USB cable.
pictures in 640x480 is that pretty good for some ebay pics, even records mpeg movies on the stick. thats a good thing cuz my dvd player can play mpeg files without any special burning.

dont know how to post a pic or else i would show the pics quality, kinda small if i want to take pics when i go out though, there might be a way to change the size but i havent figured it out yet

If you can afford to spend $170, you can get the Canon SD Powershot SD110 (3 MP) @ Amazon with free shipping and likely no sales tax. It takes great pictures and best of all, is incredibly small/slim. It's a little thicker than a deck of cards, small enough to put in your jacket pocket and completely forget about. The only downside would be the 2X optical zoom, but I don't find that big of a difference between 2X and 3X zoom.

I highly recommend the Canon SD200. Normally $300, but I kept watching www.bensbargains.net, and got it from Dell for $230 within a week or two. Absolutely love it. Even the function to take movie clips is great. If you can, raise your budget and keep watching bensbargains.net for it to show up again. Ben will probably post another deal for it soon somewhere, most likely Dell. Then go to Canon's website and order the bundle package where you get a carrying case & extra battery for something like $60. Don't forget to get a 500M card. I got a Lexar and had no problems with it. Again, watch for deals on those cards on Ben's site.

I just got a Samsung 4 megapixel at Target for 70. It was in the clearance section. Its new, comes with case, cables, everything.
Seems to work pretty good. I think they had a couple more.

Mine just came in the mail yesterday, it's so awesome.

Ill be in the market for a new one soon enough, and it seems like Canon has the edge. cnet.com has some solid reviews on all major brands.
