Need help. Can a Canadian Gamecube game play on an American Gamecube?

Yes they can. IIRC, NTSC-U/C is for the US and Canada, PAL is for Europe, and NTSC-J is for Japan and Asia, I think. But yes, America and Canada share the same format. :)

I believe you are correct.

Don't the Aussies use PAL systems too? The three GameCubes people bought down there.

And what does South America use?

You sir are correct, mostly. France actually uses SEACAM not PAL, which there are some issues. Some Asian countries also use PAL and not NTSC, I know China (Mainland) is PAL as is Maylasia, not sure about others. Austrailia is PAL and usually is concurrent with the Europeans. South America uses PAL in countries and SEACAM in others. Africa is mainly SEACAM and Antarctica is NTSC.

But the US and Canada are the same NTSC setup, right down to the channel frequencies.

The only difference you're getting with Canadian products is the possibility of covers/booklets that have French in addition to or in lieu of English. But usually if the French seems to have replaced the English on the cover, you can flip the insert and you'll see that an English print is on the other side.

Anybody else notice ANTARCTICA?
Is there really that big of a videogame market down there? Im guessing there arent too many videogame stores, so its probably whoever has the console and tv decides what region to use.

It's video format, not just video game format, video game format follows whatever is the prevalent video standard in an area.
