Need Help Finding Awesome Desk Decorations

So I've been at my job for 2 years now and noticed that everyone has their desk decorated to their lifestyle and my desk is just full of paperwork. I brought to work my Marcus Fenix statue and get a lot of mix reactions from it, from the few fans that love it and take pictures to the majority of co-workers thinking its my son's toy.

What I am looking for is something to add to my desk that is retro, something everyone knows and can relate to, and something that is safe for a corporate cubical. I don't care what it is, it can be a mini statue to a lamp to a mini arcade stand. As long as their is no profanity or loud noises every 5 seconds, I will probably want it.

Example of my taste - http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=328950 Love this Mario Mobius, just trying to get my wife to buy it for me for Christmas.

I knew about ThinkGeek, and found a couple of things there but nothing amazing. Checking out dudeiwantthat right now and thinking that site is going to make me bankrupt. Afraid to really check out thisiswhyimbroke now, but I see they have a category for home and office so it might be exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for the suggestions guys!

Mario centric things off Etsy:

http://www.etsy.com/listing/1053506...ry&ga_ship_to=US&ga_page=2&ga_search_type=all - Tissue Box Cover

http://www.etsy.com/listing/1089352...type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all - Pencil Holder (couldn't find anyone selling them, but pencil holders in the shape of a gameboy, Mario Pipes, etc also)

http://www.etsy.com/listing/99284585/mario-brothers-bullet-bill-8x10-inch?ref=sr_gallery_21&ga_search_query=video+games%2C+desk&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_page=2&ga_search_type=all - Memory Board Organizer

You can also fall back on a Rubik's cube or something? But maybe scan etsy and sites like that if only to get ideas?

Love the tissue box cover! The memory board organizer seems pretty cool too, in the discriptions they are made by hand so I will see if I can customize it.

I found a few cool things on thisiswhyImbroke.com that I want to share:

http://www.thisiswhyimbroke.com/tetris-heat-changing-cup Tetris heat changing coffee cup.
http://www.thisiswhyimbroke.com/collectible-mini-arcades Mini arcade cabinets! Just an art piece, but exactly what I'm looking for. Just have to contact the artist since everywhere I search sends me to his Fliker page.

And something else I found that shouldn't be ignored so close to Halloween:
http://www.thisiswhyimbroke.com/moving-ink-blot-masks A "moving" Rorschach Mask! Pretty bad ass, and only $35. Although its just just a sock mask with special ink, but still something that will blow people's minds.

You could always go to Etsy and search for gaming centric stuff there. There's tons of artists who make really incredible things. I'll try to dig up a few links throughout the day.

Don't know how sturdy your cubicle walls are, but the amount of available prints for artwork is staggering, and runs a COMPLETE spectrum of styles and aesthetics.

I'll definitely try again with all the recommendations, but when I looked on Esty I was coming up with coasters and earrings. There were a few prints I found in my search as well, but I won't hang a $500 art piece in my cube (nor do I have the money, hint why I'm on CAG). But with 4thHorseman findings, there is more I didn't see and well within my price range.

That.....is.......amazing!

You all are finding great stuff, big thanks to everyone! I have already liked at least one thing from every post so far, so will be adding everything up this weekend and see what I'm buying. If anyone else ideas, keep them coming! If I didn't like it, someone else will.

[quote name='4thHorseman']I don't know how badly you want to ruin a controller, but there's this idea:

The N64 controller desk organizer is on the Etsy shop I posted, in case no one wants to ruin a controller in the meantime. I wonder if a Dreamcast controller would be good for that sort of thing. The little VMU cutout would probably be very useful. Hmmm. You could slide a USB hub into the guts of the controller, and a USB drive into the VMU. That could be a fun project.

I second drink coasters. Fangamer.net has some killer Mario ones (and even some Megaman), and you can also find some fun parlor bead varieties on Etsy.

Fangamer also has some seriously cool mugs (another Megaman variant here), but the Mario Pipe ones are unfortunately sold out at the moment.

This could be the best thing ever made....

I have found a ton of coasters, but not really into them since I want something eye catching and if I have a cup on it, then no one will see it.

So far I'm addicted to the the mini arcade cabinets I found on thisiswhyimbroke and already got a price list from the artist. I'm also really into getting the Gamecube organizer and tissue cover.

Now, I'll probably be killed for this, but I have no idea what that cookie jar is a reference to. But like I said every post is going to interest someone, since Clak really liked it!

It's Dr. Who. I've never actually watched any Dr. Who, but it's a huge thing online. I think a law of the internet is that all "new shirt daily" websites are required to have at least one Dr. Who inspired design per week.

It's a British TV show about "Time Lords," and focuses on a guy being chosen to be one (I guess it's like Green Lantern in this sense?). I get the feeling it's kind of like Harry Potter, but with aliens and time travel and high tech gadgetry instead of schools full of wizards. You can watch a good bit of it on Netflix. It's one of those shows that I've always told myself I need to watch just to see what the big freaking deal is. Apparently it's been around for decades, with eras separated out by which actor becomes the title character.

Also, my cookie jar tells your retardis to suck lick it, jerk:

I was going to buy it for my GF, but I saw it at Fry's and found out it's plastic. I was really hoping for a more traditional cookie jar material (read: not plastic).
