Ok guys i need some help from you computer guys out there on picking out a new router.  I have no clue what 150 or 300 or 450 and 10/100/1000 mean and all the other lingo.  So your help would be great and i am looking at picking one up at best buy due to have tons of reward zone points.

I have a dlink DIR-615 and it has served me very well and have had it for five or more years i think? I just know i have the motorola

surfboard SB5101 and would like to know if getting a better router will give me better performance?  I plan on having

my ps3 and xbox hardline to the router and only the ipads, phones and laptops will be wireless.  Here are the two routers

that i am leaning towards but will i use this to the full capabilities??

Or should I just buy a new one of the same model??  Well any help and recommendation would be great thanks.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833127215 if you want to stick with D-Link since you've had a good record with it, this is one of the highest rated routers on Newegg. I have a couple customers with these still going strong after 3-4 years (they have a new hardware revisions to modernize it)

Wireless AC is out now (which is after N), but honestly wireless only works as fast as your slowest device. So in a house with multiple wireless devices, upgrading to the latest wireless tech isnt a big deal, since the speed will just be reverted back down. (for instance, if one of your devices is a wireless G, your wireless network will be G speeds)

(and truth be told, for simple home networks, there's alot of good routers out there you dont have to think about it that much)
