since i was going to get DSI ( god damn dsiware)

i was in the market for a SP. (or Micro if i can find it)

when i was about to buy a SP for 24.99 at EBgames, my friend told me that there is two types of SPs! i was suprized as heck!

he told me the first SP had a frontlit light which was not as bright as the second one which has the backlit. (the difference is like... huge i heard)

so which SPs are backlit and which are front? i want to get the backlit one but there are so many colours out ther....

Backlit SP's mainly came in Graphite, Pearl Blue, Tribal Silver, and Pearl Pink. If it's not one of those colors, it's a front-lit SP (which actually aren't that bad at all, from what I remember, but then again I might remember better than it is).

Anyway the other key is the serial number on the GBA itself, AGS-101 indicates newer SP's while AGS-001 was for the older ones.

Lastly, if you press the light button on the GBA, it will turn the light on/off on SP1, but cycle through different brightness settings on SP2. Some (IGN) have said that the brighter screen makes colors a little too bright, particularly warmer colors. I think it's a personal preference as to which is better.
