I posted this on Other Deals & Requests originally but only got a reply from one person so I thought this forum would be better.

I need both a phone and a PDA. It seems like a two in one device would be best since it would be one less item to carry around plus I'd need internet access for the PDA anyway. I'm open to the idea of two separate devices though.

Assuming I get a two in one device these are the features I want:
Color screen
Pocket PC OS
Built-in QWERTY keyboard
Built-in camera

I've found two phones that come close to what I'm looking for.

http://product.samsung.com/cgi-bin/...rod_id=SPH-I700

The SCH-i730 has a built-in keyboard but no camera and the SPH-i700 has a camera but no built-in keyboard.

Are there any phones with the exact features I'm looking for? Is it best to get a phone from a provider or get the phone and service plans separately? This will be my first cell phone so I don't know what type of deal is the best.

Are there any cell phone resource websites I should be checking out?

Actually, the i-700 does come with a built-in keypad....you slide the phone upwards and there ya go. And you always go with a cell phone company based on service and availability rather than the phones they offer because if you can't use the phone due to limited service (i.e. the T-Mobile's Sidekick II being a cool phone but T-Mobile having a very very limited service area), it's useless. I've worked for Verizon and I currently work for Cingular....Verizon has much, much better customer service and coverage in 90% of the country and no roaming...and they have an unlimited download plan if you plan on using the internet on your phone, so....go with them. And make sure you actually buy insurance on the phone, because the i-700 costs about $550 to replace if you lose it or break it.

You say it has a built-in keypad but according to the specs for the SPH-i700 it says, "Use the optional portable keypad attachment to enter text and retrieve data. Durable lightweight construction allows you to roll and tuck it away for convenient storage."
