Need help with my BioShock Survivor Mode No Vita Chambers.

Some questions:

1. Say I invented 50 items in a previous playthrough on normal. I beat the game, then I started a new game on survivor mode. If I invent 50 more items, will I get the invent 100 items trophy?

2. If I save my game, will it load me exactly where I saved? In other words, if i'm fighting a big daddy and get him halfway near death and save, will it load me that way?

3. Do headshots in this game matter? Splicers take forever to kill. I don't even know how the hell i'm going to beat Atlas on this mode. He was easy as hell on normal, but things are going to get hectic on this mode..it seems.

4. How early can I obtain a camera? I want to start researching things now. I barely started a new game though. :/

3. Yes.
4. It's part of the story, so you can't obtain it any earlier or later than a specific point. It takes a bit to get there, I think the 3rd stage?
