Need Help with suspended account

Hopefully someone can help me out.

My Ebay account was suspended last week for something described as Shill Bidding. I had no idea what that was, but as I learned more, it seems it's the way that auctioners inflate the price/demand for their goods.

I did no such thing but cannot get any response from Ebay to defend myself or, more importantly, get my account reinstated.

Does anybody have any advice? Or does anybody know of a phone number to call? All I have is the various email addresses.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think it's going to happen. Something like this happened to me last fall and after 3 months of 'auto-gen replies' and totally off the wall answers I gave up and started a new account.

You have four options.

1. Follow the steps to reinstate your account. (Fax signed eBay contract with proof of identification)

2. Email eBay using the contact information provided in the account suspension email. (Where it says, "If you believe this was in error...")

3. Call eBay and explain your situation. Two numbers, same destination. Take your pick:

1-800-322-9266
1-888-749-3229

4. Create a new account.

Somebody trying to win two different auctions from the same guy was getting outbid by this guy and reported him I guess. People don't like getting outbid.

Unless you were doing it with a seller all the time I don't see how you'd ever get caught...

[quote name='electrictroy']Why would ebay close account that is *not* guilty of shill bidding?

I dont know why. The only thing I can figure is that I have a few people who always bid on my auctions. Sometimes they win, sometimes they dont. But they are regular customers, not people driving up the price.
