You can get the content for free guys. Just make a Japanese Live account and go to the download section of Lost Odyssey. Now find a file that is only a couple hundred kilobytes. Download and enjoy. It worked for me so I assume it should work for everyone. I was at the first boss when I downloaded it and when I restarted I had the guard bracelet thing and when I went back to town I was able to get the story teller's dream.
