Does anyone know if there is a decent HomeTheater all in one set for around $200 that has at least the following features...

1. Will allow hookup of game systems and TV as well as the dvd player it comes with (if it comes with one).

2. Sounds at least "decent".

I know a system of this price won't sound the best, but any advice would be appreciated.
This one was released recently, will fit all of your needs, though it's $300 instead of $200 - http://www.engadget.com/2007/06/27/jvcs-latest-htib-the-th-l1-is-hd-ready/
This seems better than I have seen in the $200 - $300 range so far.

The Panasonic one seems good as well though and has received good reviews for a system of it's price.

You guys have been great. Thanks for the suggestions. Definately gives me more options to consider.

Anyone have any opinions on this one ?

Pioneer x360 Theater System ....

It has gotten excellent reviews on that site except for a single person. I know it's funtionality and future use is a bit limited, but I am looking for something cheap to hold me over until I get settled into my new place and find out if I am going to remain here or move again. At that point, I would invest more into a system.

Another one that I looked at was the Samsung HT-X40 ...

Samsung HT-X40

Any info or thoughts on either of these would be appreciated.

Best bang for the buck for htib is the onkyo ht-sr800 @ cc online $399.00 and use code SAAQMA7AL9 expires 7/4. !0% off =360+4 for shipping. Credit to jedikd on sd. You won't find a htib with all these options. Spend a little extra and it you will be happier and not need to replace as quick.

The Samsung one is crap. Has very few inputs. You will be very dissapointed with that, especially if you have multiple game systems/entertainment areas.

The Pioneer is okay... but the fact that it is designed for the 360 scares me. If thats what you have, and all that you will ever have with that system, you should be okay.

Like others have said, I recommend going with a nicer system now so you won't be forced to upgrade for much more in the near future. The systems you have are cheap systems and will produce a sound quality not much better than your standard TV.

I'd definitely recommend an Onkyo refurb over any of those others. While the other ones may look good, I don't normally trust HTIBs from anyone other than Onkyo, Denon, Yahama, and Harmon Kardon. Those are the four consumer brands which usually use realistic numbers on their systems rather than marketing numbers.

That JVC looks cool... but two things worry me. One, it's JVC. Two, it's new and has new reviews as far as I can see. The Samsung and Pioneer system look like crap though. That Sony system doesn't look too bad.
