Need some help(amazon marketplace purchase)

Ok i have a problem i ordered something from thier marketplace and when it arrived it was defective when i contacted the store they told me i had to pay a 20 percent restocking fee and pay for return shipping i'm like wtf it arrive like that,is there anything i can do?
 
It doesn't sound like Amazon. I'm assuming you bought this from a third party seller? If that's the case, then start a dispute.

If it's from Amazon, then I assume there was some misunderstanding with customer service. In other words, contact them again.
 
If it's not from Amazon, file an A-Z claim and let Amazon handle it. Most likely, you're going to have to ship it back (at your expense), but you are also entitled to a refund.

If it's defective, I can't see how they are able to claim you have to pay a 20% restocking fee.

If worst came to worst, you could just file a chargeback.
