Here's what I'm looking at right now:

What do you stereo savvy guys think about this setup and is there anything that I'm leaving out? Keep in mind I'm not going for competition or anything, just a really nice system to enjoy.

Also, I haven't forgotten about a head unit installation kit, wiring harnesses, an amplifier power kit, and a car amplifier audio RCA cable.

Looks pretty swank. Man, I miss my JL Audio 12W6's pair with my 500 watt Phoenix Gold amps (a bitchass punk robbed my car). Ahh good times.

Ok, here is my recommendation. Don't buy the 4x6 and 6x9's. Take the money that you would spend on them and buy a component set for the front. You really don't need rear speakers -- there are many many discussions about this on pretty much every car audio forum (for and against them). You will get a lot better sound and imaging from a set of components than the tiny 4x6 speakers.

Also, are you installing anything yourself? If you are, or are willing to, you can bring your cost down some and give yourself many more options. Be sure to look around alot and listen to as much stuff as you can. There are a lot of good brands out there, most of them aren't carried by Circuit City or Best Buy. I highly recomment Elemental Designs (http://www.edesignaudio.com/us.php), one of their amps got a great review in the newest Performance Auto & Sound. They also have 3 year warranties on thier stuff. They can also build a box for you, too. For RCA cables and power cable and such, check out http://www.knukonceptz.com/, they also sell on ebay (10,600 w/ 99.8% positive feedback). Their karma kable RCAs are freakin awesome - and cheap, the 4 meter cable is $11.

Check out these audio forums: http://www.icixsound.com, the forum at http://www.sounddomain.com (also a great place to buy audio stuff - the forum does tend to have quite a few jerkoffs though)

Good luck

Looks like it'll pound pretty good. I run around a 1000w with 600w going to a 12" L5 kicker. Like Monoxide 101 said... go for the spearates up front. Fit the 6&1/2" mids if you can. You can always get something else for the back if your passengers complain. Or tell them to walk!
