So my fiancees company is giving out thank you gifts for people who offered suggestions that saved her company money. She works directly under the head honcho at her factory and was put in charge of coming up with ideas. Thought id ask here if you guys have any good suggestions.

What we have thought of so far

Gift Baskets with high end stuff like Champaign and expensive chocolates
High end gadget like an MP3 player( if anyone has suggestions awsome)
Choice of 3 1 day passes to Cedar Point or 1 season pass(factory is in Northern Ohio)
Family pass to Toledo Zoo for 1 full year + some other gift
Travel Luggage
Vouchers for cash off at various business such as plane tickets

Should add this is a pretty progressive and family oriented company and these again are for the workers of the plant.

Pizza.

/obligatory

EDIT:

On a serious note, I think a gift basket is the best idea. Everybody loves expensive alcohol and chocolate!

I suggested charity, she said since they already do so much charity work she thinks her boss would poo poo the idea.
How about you give them $100? :p

And could you perhaps makes that 201 gifts....?
They dont want people to know what exactly they spent on them. They were going to toss a big banquet black tie affair like usual but decided against it.

As for the Demographic its a largly Asian and Mexican plant. People are a mix of salary and hourly workers though and pay ranges anywhere from $30k a year to $100k.

Average age/sex?

I would say a waste since many people would just toss the stuff (dont drink)

High end gadget like an MP3 player( if anyone has suggestions awsome)

Maybe a portable DVD player. Is there any way you could put a piece of paper what says

PICK ONE

MP 3 player
DVD player
ECT

Choice of 3 1 day passes to Cedar Point or 1 season pass(factory is in Northern Ohio)
Family pass to Toledo Zoo for 1 full year + some other gift

I remember going to toledo zoo 20 years ago, do they still have that train ride that goes though the entire zoo? I would think te cedar point thing would cost a lot more then the zoo pass

Travel Luggage
Vouchers for cash off at various business such as plane tickets

Bleh LOL

I would say some sort of high end item. Or maybe time off work.
Ipods (shuffles) with the company logo etched on them. Apple will give you a discount for ordering a ton of them.
This, and I can etched them at half the price

She thought of that Ipod shuffle but didnt know if they are cheap or not. Since its an Ipod its obviously quality, but is it seen as atleast not being bottom of the line model or something? Also does apple do the engraving or is that somethign you would have to pay to get done elsewhere.

As for the give people 3 ideas, they already plan on doing that. She is going to present her boss with a large list of ideas and then he will choose a few of the best. The employees will then get a choice between a few things meaning that some poor single guy isnt stuck with family zoo passes.

As for demographics. Again its for so many peolple and such a diverse place that there is no one set group. Really tis pretty evenly split between whites, blacks, asians and mexicans. Average age is 40 but its split between men and woman.

And slidecage ya it only costs like $60 for a zoo pass for a family and the Cedar point thing is $100-$120. So again they would need to offer up somethign in addition to the zoo pass.

Should just add that they dont want people to know how much they are spending if I didnt.

This,

The price of Ipod shuffles just droped in price. You can get a 2 gig version for under 80 bucks.

The small iPod Shuffles is a good idea. Then just add a $50 iTunes gift card to each one to wind up with a $100 valued gift. Only issue would be assuming every employee had a computer at home.

Hookers and Blow, yeah for 100 it may not be the highest quality, but damn people shouldn't be picky anyway.

You said there are lots of families, what about one of those digital photo frames? They are expensive enough that people probably just don't out and pick one up for themselves but yet i think a lot of people would like to have one.

Thats a good idea ill put it down. And Ikohn4Ever I dont know why but every last damn time I see your sig with the i wear boys underwear I crack up.

What about digital cameras then or would that be out of your budget? I don't know enough about those things to be able to recommend one but I know most people would be interested in getting one.

I was going to say whatever iPod you can get for around $100. (As many others have mentioned.)

A $100 gift card/certificate to the local mall or a $100 AMEX/Visa/etc gift card is also an awesome gift but not super creative.

My girlfriend and I run a bit of a gift basket company. Just saying.

(Self promotion aside, gift baskets work great on corporate things like that.)

ok so these people saved the company money therefore the owner decides to spend $20,000 to thank them? Good thinking.

Can't put a logo on Shuffles but you can still put something like "in apreciation for your hard work" or something along those lines. Plus regular engraving is free.
