need to know if I can play GH Aerosmtih with RB2 guitar

As the title say I need to know if Rockband 2's guitar with work with GH Aerosmith. I know that RB2 and GHWT insturments work together but don't know if there are backwards compatible. I just found Aerosmith for 9.99 bucks and picked it up. I want it but not bad enof to have another guitar. Thanks for any help.
 
Thanks for your help thats great it works. But want to hear somthing even better. I posted this about 2 hours ago and my Elit Red Ringed five minutes ago. Way to go Mircosoft. Now for the next 2 to 3 weeks no Xbox.:bomb:
