NES & SNES Flash Carts, Do They Exist?

It seems like there should be something around since we have pretty common ones for the DS. I'd love to be able to put homebrew and the like on one cart and play it in my original NES with the controller.

Has anyone seen anything like this? I searched around and besides one project that seems to have ended in 2006, there is not much information out there.

for snes you can look for game doctor or ufo. Remember flash memory was pretty expensive back than so they use floppy disc.

Not quite. What I'm looking for is a cartrige that would be able to go into an NES or SNES and have a USB port in it that allows you to copy game roms onto it and then play it on your NES.

The Powerpak, not the Powerpak Lite, is what you're looking for. It uses Compactflash cards for storage.

Unfortunately it's been out of stock for quite some time. As far as I know, it's the only NES "flash cart" available.

Yup, that definately looks like it, but pretty damn pricey. I'm surprised they are not easier to find.

They sold out very fast when it was first released, within 2-3 days I think. I picked mine up then and don't regret it one bit. If you're interested, contact RetroZone to find out when they will come back in stock. I can almost guarantee they will sell out quickly when they do.

For SNES, Tototek sells a flash cart, but I have no experience with it myself.

I love my PowerPak. Well worth the price. The main reason for my purchase was to play translated roms on my home setup. I hate playing on computers and my computer chairs sucks compared to my gaming chair. Compared to my Mac, Xbox and the Powerpak: the roms "feels" correct with the powerpak. That tototek rom cart looks cheap. Anyone played with one?

I may try that SNES one. I have a Super Famicom that came with some crappy SFC games so I could sac one to use that.
