Network/router help please

When i look on the back of my pc i have :

A green light lit
A yellow light lit


i am having problems and think is because of the yellow light, what does that yellow light mean ?

when i connect the internet directly without any type of router interference the yellow light turns of and it works perfectly !

But when i connect it throught the router i get the yellow light and it does not work, these lights are connected on the back of the pc where my ethernet cable meets the pc !

We're going to need a lot more info than some lights.

What kind of computer, what kind of router, what ISP, did it work before, etc.

You could always try unplugging the modem, then the router, then plugging in the modem then router. If you know anything about winip, you could always try to ping a site like google. If you can ping 64.208.34.100, but not google.com, then I'd guess you have a DHCP issue. If you can't ping either, then I'd try cloning your PC mac address on your router.

Someone else is going to have to help you tonight, or I can try in the morning. I'm beat.
