i stopped after work to pick up supper and had to sit in line for 15 mins. 10 mins to pay 5 to get the food. What makes me sit is you can see the person handing out the food after you pay and that person Stood there and " Dug their freaking head for 5 mins straight and then hands food to people"

they refused to give my money back when i said i wasnt going to take the food so i had to go home and toss the food in the trash if you think im going to eat off someone who was digging their freaking head for 5 mins straight you r freaking nuts..

i have already emailed mcdonalds and will be calling them later about this. I have also emailed the BBB and the local health department to let them know what is going on at this place... I also put in my email to mcdonalds if Myself or anyone that comes in contract in my house get lice I will sue the ##$#$# out of mcdonalds.. Why the hell they hire people who cant even wash their freaking hair and keep themself clean is beyond me.

I haven't ate any burgers from McDonalds ever since the one near me was sued for having maggots in the burgers. I tried to once after reading about in the paper and I just couldn't stop staring at my burger and picturing maggots.

i consider a scratch where you just either scratch your head for a second or run your hand though your hair ... this person had every finger on that hand on their head just digging away.. and i can see scratching their head even for 30 seconds but Standing there Just digging away for the entire time is just sick

Dude, have you seen their fucking wages? If you're cognizant enough to brush AND floss, you ain't workin' at Mickie D's.

Why did you say something to that person? Scared? I never eat at Fast Food shit joints anyways.

because clean people don't work at McDonalds, plain and simple...when you're making minimum wage, you're not going to get quality employees who give that much of a fuck...you're going to get either clean slackers who just don't care and aren't going to do shit or you're going to get dirty bastards who are desperate for money

EDIT: mykevermin beat me to it

You can expect to receive this level of service at any establishment where teenagers are paid minimum wage. I'm surprised you haven't experienced this before. :D

the mcdonalds around the corner from me has on their glass in big letters, now hiring $10 an hour, i was like, shit i should work there

Jesus, that's fucking gross! I don't think I'll be able to eat another McDonalds burger after reading that either.

i did i said I want my money back and they gave me so stupid line about they cant do that cause there was no manager on duty. and after sitting in line for 15 mins i said %#$# them to myself and took off.

and about not making enough money to keep themself clean. My aunt worked there for 20 years and she kept herself and her house Perfectly clean.. its just the low life scum that this mcdonalds has started to hire.

not to be harsh but welcome to reality. if you think the top tier restaurants dont have people like that behind the scenes then you are in a dream world. the truth is, no one knows what is going on in during the time between what happened in the kitchen and the food being on your table, except for the people who were working there at that moment in time. one thing not know and eating but it's another if you see it and know about it.

No way in hell I would have left without my money back. Of course, I wouldn't be eating at McDonald's in the first place, but still... As someone who worked there, briefly, a very long time ago, I would stongly advise against eating there EVER. You saw that disgusting act. You honestly wouldn't believe some of the ones you haven't seen.

I would have caused a big scene. Saying this dude is fucking gross! Embarass the shit out of the person and all the employess of the store. They will work with you after that to get you your money back.

Whenever I look at health code websites (some areas have them, such as new york and vermont, which list each restaurant and violations) it seems that the really popular restaurants, and the ones that no would go to anyway, are the ones with the most violations. The most popular one in our area of vermont got a 61, 60 or lower meants shutting down, and vermont is very polite and general in its violations (ie. they'll say no screen door to keep animals out but won't say things like flies and cockroaches in the kitchen). I've seen quite a few that look great inside with tons of violations. And I've seen quite a few that look rather run down, but have minimal, if any, violations.

I dont have time to read this but it reminds me of a similar story...

so I am at BK we order food. I am casually looking around waiting for my food. My wife is looking at the back watching our food be made. The BK is super clean and always was. The workers in the back wear gloves etc....

She grabs me and tells me the dude just wiped his forehead (sweat) with his gloved hand and then proceeded to make my burger..

I tell her shes full of it and after opening my burger and visibly seeing a sweaty thumbprint we returned everything and got a refund.

fucking gross.

read Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American Mea by Eric Schlosser. reading this book has made me steer clear from fast food altogether. it's a very good read.

And that's just the shit you see. You missed the guy in the back scratching his crabs with the spatula for five minutes.

When I was younger (probably 8-10 range) my parents and I were at Hardees. We had our food, and they gave me money to go up and get some ice-cream. The drive-thru lady was in a hurry, and she dropped a big bucket of chicken on the floor. This floor wasn't clean either. I mean, you could see stuff on the floor already. She quickly scooped up the chicken, put the lid on the bucket, and handed it out the window. She then turned to me and said, "Can I help you"? I just stood there for a moment...then turned and walked back to my parents. (I'm thinking she must not've seen me standing there, since I wasn't very tall at that age...or maybe she just didn't give a fuck, I don't know.)

But as someone said earlier, you never know what happens to your food. Everyone go see Waiting.
Everyone go see Waiting.
Haha exactly what I was gonna say. Clearly the movie exagerates but as someone who has worked in the resteraunt business I can tell you shit like that goes on far too often.

I also second the "Fast Food Nation" recommendation. I actually met Mr. Schlosser a few years back and heard him speak about the industry. It's disgusting from the meat processing right up to the assembly of your food at the resteraunt. I still eat fast food, simply cause it's so convient, but I'm definately warey of what I order and who I order it from now.

I find this post to be ignorant in a few ways:

A) Not all McDonald's are consistent. Taking it further, not all employees at a single McDonald's are the same. I have known many good people who have worked at McDonald's and were actually pretty high in the management chain of their particular store by the time they went to college.

B) This happens at any food place, not just McDonald's. I've worked in many a restaurant. I even worked at my college's dorm dining hall (which surprisingly was the cleanest and most sanitary of any food establishment I've ever worked at I'd say) and you find this happening at nearly any one.

If you're not going to eat at McDonald's because some guy scratched his head for a while, then just don't eat food that you didn't prepare. The chances of something similar happening at any other restaurant, fast food store, or even friend's house are the same.

Considering what McD's puts in their "food", that probably increased the nutritional value of it.

Hehe, that's the same thing I was wondering... I eventually got it though. Heh.

Forget that .. read The Jungle by Upton Sinclair. Someone scratching their head or picking their nose before they handle food wont seem so bad.

EDIT: By the way Gigan .. that chick in your avatar/sig is possibly the hottest chick ever. Who is she?

Yeah, makes me sit, too.....

And why is the "dug his head" part in quotes....did you say that?

i used to work at hardees way back in 1991 (the place is closed now) and i will tell you right now that its a good chance she was told if you drop anything pick it up and put it back . I know for a fact that the manager told us " if anything hits the floor dont worry about it... what was even more discusting is that the bigger burgers that get put in this machine that keeps the food warm..

Well you are to make the food put it in the oven thing and push this timer. the timer will go off 30 mins and if any of that food is in there we are to toss it in the trash (i guess 30 mins was the most it could stay warm without getting spoiled. well everytime a manager was working back there with us we would be told everytime that buzzer goes over just hit reset But dont toss out the food.. One day i got there at 3pm and we was selling food that i made at 4pm to people at 10pm that night. Thats right the food was sitting in the oven machine for 6 hours and it was to go in the trash after 30 mins

point is that was behind the counter (what you didnt see) compair to what everyone sitting in the drive thur can see

camila sodi. run a search for her in these forums. i'm sure there's plenty of pics to look at.

The OP should see the movie Waiting, it hilarious! By the way, never get a hot dog at a movie theater unless its the kind that are prewrapped and heated in a microwave. In fact you should probably stay away from the food altogther and sneak in some candy like I do. The chain of theaters I work for still uses the unhealthy coconut popping oil, lots of salt, and we got some very unhealthy liquid shit that somehow passes for butter.

Why do people always excuse poor fast foos service with the minimum wage information? We understand they are working at a MCDonalds and making only minimu, wage, but they should still give at least decent service.

And how you you dig your head?

Every restaurant (or food place) has something nasty going on you don't see. So just be thankful that you could see the person "digging their head" (I guess). When I worked at a super-walmart. I worked a 2-11 one night and the store was smelling like rotten trash and old eggs. I could not figure out why, then I asked someone, and they told me to go to produce. I go to produce and they were cleaning out from underneath were the fruit and veggies sit. I saw the nasty, smelliest, sludge vile stuff from the fruit that almost made me yak. it made a 200,000 sq fruit store stink.

EDIT: I agree with who said read "The Jungle" its a really good book. I like Eric Schlosser is good but I think he might be a little like Michael moore.

Good luck with McD's corporate. I had not one, but two incidents (at the same place, mind you) where the food was served to me reeking of the stinky-ass perfume the greasy little wench that handed me the food was wearing. The first time, I brought the food back to them, and had them re-make it, making sure they knew WHY. Dumbass that I am, I went back there a few months later, and I didn't notice until I got where I was going and opened the bag...that SAME goddam perfume. I was pissed....called "Corporate", and ranted at them. Said that the store mgr. would call....he never did. I emailed them a week or so later, demanding a refund from corporate since the mgr. never called me. They refused, again promising that the store mgr. would call me to settle it, since they did not own the franchise. Of course, he never called, so I'll never give them another dime.

I'm gonna miss those occasional QPC's...

I thought this thread had something to do with the recent monopoly/best buy bucks promotion and just being plain sick of overeating there. Boy was I wrong. That reminds me, I should get around to watching Super Size Me. Between that and Waiting I think I'll be able kick the junk food habit.

This thread made me realize why I stopped eating fast food for a period of time.

I have a few stories, the worst situation was when I got my food from the drive thru at jack in the box, I got home and saw that they gave me way too many hot sauce packets which had holes poked in them, so there was a lot of sauce on my hands when I grabbed them. Even worse, there were pubic hairs in my tacos.

I can't believe I still eat there sometimes. Thank you for this thread. This may convince me to stop eating fast food for good, except for mexican fast food of course.

That's what you get for trying to order a Liter Cola.

:puke: :puke: :puke:

i think youve mentioned that pubic hair in your tacos before, but im just reiterating my point.

Well I feel like joining in the horror stories here.

My story is from the Wendy's chain. One time when I was little my dad and I went through the drive thru, and being a little kid, I of course ordered a kid's meal. Anyway, we start driving away, I open up my happy meal bag, and see a live cockroach crawling over my food.

Now fast forward a few years, and across the country at a different Wendy's. The first incident was in Houston, TX and this particular incident I'm about to tell you about was in Minneapolis, MN. Anyway, I order a cheeseburger, sit down and start eating it. I get about half way through the thing and see GREEN flecks in the middle of the beef patty. I open up the bun and see that the patty is completely full of green specks that were about 1-2 cm in size each. Needless to say, that was the last time I've ever eaten ANYTHING from Wendy's which was about 8 years ago.

When there is no one else hiring within 20 miles of your house, and you have no car and rent is due, sometimes you have to suck it up and work at McDs. I'm a little OC so I was very clean all the time. It's not the "people who work for minimum wage" its teh individual. I've seen some scary things in my time too ( like the bum who OD'd on heroin in the bathroom) so it can happen, but there are clean people there too.

Haha, yeah, I think I've mentioned it once before.

Keep the stories comin.. Not that I'm not already, but I need to be fully convinced that I should stop wasting money on fast food. :applause:

Woah woah woah, lets not say things we cant take back. Lice are like little visitors, guests if you will, that are staying on your head. Have a little respect...

And just think what they did to your food they were further back in the building and you couldn't see what they were up to...

Count your blessings that you haven't caught anything nasty from that horrible franchise, drop them like a bad habit and build up those cooking skills ;)
