NeverDead - Konami's darkly comedic action game is better than IGN says

Yep, here's my review. Deadly Premonition is a decent comparison - this is definitely a game the mainstream press may or may not get (IGN and Game Informer hated it), while people who give it a chance may feel differently. Love it or hate it, but I loved it.

I remember being pretty interested in this game when I first heard about it. Then I never heard anything about it until the bad reviews started coming in. I still plan to try the game, but I'm waiting until it can be picked up for less than $20. This seems like the kind of game that newegg will have on sale for $11 or something crazy in a couple months.

Count me in on the 'wait for sale' group for this. I'd been interested in this since last E3, but I'm worried I'll hate the escort aspect of it. I figure if I pick it up cheap, then it won't be so bad if I don't like it.

i reviewed this game on my blog so check it out but def. wait till it drops in price which will be soon. good soundtrack by Megadeth though

I thought they were pretty forgiving about it. Played it at E3 last year, and unless they managed to completely overhaul everything, the game was the opposite of fun.

Was kinda interested in it until seeing a gameplay video of a mission, I wanna say Giantbomb but I can't find it anywere.

15-20 minutes of the player getting smashed to pieces in one hit by two bullet sponge bosses.
Plus there are Cops that have to be protected and revived if you don't want to fail the mission.

That boss fight you're talking about is actually the best grinding spot in the game. It's not super fun to do, but you can lure both of the bosses (Panda Bears) off the ledge in about a minute or two. There's an Achievement for doing so, and repeating that part will gain the player lots of experience quickly. But it's not a constant boss-fest, and bosses are of course supposed to be challenging.
