Interesting, I am actually in the process of modding a 360 I bought off of eBay. Just waiting on my T-8 to come in the mail to finish the rest of the x-clamp.
 
So you made the heatsink that is already considered way too small for the heat that the GPU puts out even smaller?

edit: Plus your GPU heatsink isn't even the larger and improved version found on newer models...

I think the warranty they are referring to is that of the RRoD. Which was definitely not over.
