new 16 min video of mario 64x4 it looks sooooooo great

So, is this the exact same version of Mario 64, but with three additional characters? If so, that's just a stupid as releasing the NES Classic Series on GBA.
No, they've added a lot of stuff in the game.

There are now 150 stars to find, as opposed to 100 in the previous game.

There are tons of mini-games.

And they have just made the game more challenging.

This is exactly what developers need to do when rehashing an old game.
But it's still rehashed.
You say that as though releasing a all-time great with mounds of new material at a price less than half of the original (factoring inflation) is a bad thing.

I watched it, it was 16:07 or something. It looks OK, I just wasn't all that thrilled by Mario 64 the first time around - probably because I was expecting so much from hearing all the hype surrounding it.

Right now, I have a queue of 3 of Nintendo's DS games that I will have to have, and this isn't one of them. I'm extremely curious about the "new Super Mario Bros." title that'll be coming out - I've been dying for a good, original Mario game for a portable since the GBA came out.
Yeah my gut is telling me they are holding the NEW Mario for the PSP release.
One very nifty feature is allowing multi-player with only one cartridge. THis has been done on a few GBA games but the wireless really expands the potential. You could find yourself playing on a bus or airliner against people you never see directly.
Playing on a bus would be cool, especially for school kids, but I don't think they will allow wireless communication on an airliner at this point.

I was going to hold off a little while on the DS but after seeing that it really makes me want the system.

I know a lot of people seem to have a problem with old titles being brought back but games like Zelda and Mario are timeless classics.

When I was little playing Mario and Zelda on my NES I thought it would be awesome if I could take that gameplay on the road. Being able to play SMB 3 on my sp is just awesome. I am really psyched for mario 64 on the DS. I am also looking forward to the all-new mario game for the DS. If you don't want it don't buy it. No one is holding your hand.

To me its not about it being the same game its about me being able to carry it with me.

even if this was exactly the same version i think it would be much different then the nes clasic series imo. There is a difference between puting a relly non advance port on a advance system, and puting a port that fully shows all the potential of the system it is being ported to.
