NEW $.99 - $1.99 PC Games @ EBGames.com. Max Payne/Mafia $1.99!

a bunch of the previous cheap pc games like sudden strike 2 and warlords iv were oos, but are now back as well

Damnit! I just got 2 packages from EB today too. If only this was on there 3 days ago. I can't order from EB again, they're making me spend all my money! I don't even have enough space on my PC to play these games.

I'm getting Locomotion and the WWII collection. Good deals. :)

$2.99 Commandos 3 is pretty good too, if you're into masochistically hard games.

And if you like mindless action, you can do a lot worse than $1.99 Gladiator: Sword of Vengeance. This was a pretty overlooked game, actually.
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/236653.asp

And as long as I'm buying all this stuff, I might as well toss in $.99 Sudden Strike II. :)
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/228547.asp

And I might as well get $2 Rapela Pro Fishing, so I can get the lure that it comes with. :)

So, quick question: I'm assuming these are boxed, unless they're specifically listed as jewel cases?

EDIT:
Aaaarrrg. Dammit. Locomotion just went OOS and disappeared from my damn cart! What the hell. Oh, well.
So, quick question: I'm assuming these are boxed, unless they're specifically listed as jewel cases?
Yep. Every PC game I've ordered from them came with the box and all. My only compaint about some of the PC games is that they don't come in a jewel case at all. I know its not EB's fault, but I wish every PC game came in a jewel case instead of the crappy white sleeve.

Now that I'm able to access Gamespot I want to give another plug for Silent Storm. Remember, this game just dropped $25 bucks!

"Silent Storm took the turn-based tactical strategy of X-COM and enlisted modern technology to craft a gaming experience quite unlike anything we've seen since Jagged Alliance 2. The basics are the same--you control a squad of soldiers, take turns in combat with your enemy, have a set number of action points you can use in each turn, and so on--but there are some significant changes as well. One of the most unique of these is the inclusion of an RPG-esque class system, in which each of your characters takes on a specific role, such as sniper, medic, grenadier, and so on. This forces you to position your characters correctly if you want to succeed.

"In addition to its solid gameplay mechanics, though, Silent Storm features one of the most impressive engines ever to grace a turn-based game--almost everything in the environment is completely destructible. In many games, destruction is merely eye candy, but it's often necessary in Silent Storm, as it's usually just as easy to get behind enemies and bust through a wall to ambush them as it is to assault them head-on. Is there a sniper hiding behind a window on the upper floor of a building? Take out a rocket launcher and destroy the window, giving yourself an easy shot at the now-exposed sniper. This kind of emergent gameplay makes each battle unpredictable and tremendously entertaining."

Hey, thanks for the tip, guys! I picked up that WWII pack....I've played too much Return to Castle Wolfenstein : Enemy Territory lately, and Battlefield 1942 might prove a welcome...err...change? :)

Never did play Max Payne...but $2 is a good price, even though I already own and have beaten Mafia. They did an excellent job re-creating the retro atmosphere for Mafia.
Wow, they must have just added Max Payne/Mafia recently. I hope they get Baldur's gate II again in tommorow.
What version of BG2 did they have on sale, and at what price? I love BG2, and I really want the soundtrack CD that comes with version that has both Shadows of Amn and Throne of Bhall.

Wow, nice catch Ackbar. I played a demo of Silent Storm and loved it, and I forgot about it while waiting for the price to drop.

Also, FWIW, Tommy from Electronic Playground on TechTV gave Gladiator:Sword of Vengance a very glowing review. For $1.99, I'm pulling the trigger on it, because the game seemed pretty good.

Big thanks to everyone who posted these deals!

Edit: While we're talking about cheap games nobody bought, http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/220224.asp

This game's actually pretty good, well worth the 3 bucks. Very cool concept behind the game, and the gameplay's a little clunky, but it's worth your time and few bucks.

About Maximum Underworld (Max Payne & Mafia):
"Comes fully loaded with complete strategy guides for both games." So even if you have both games (like me) you might as well get it.
Damn, I can't believe that price on the Max Payne/Mafia combo. I already bought it at $8. I sad. :(
buy a copy for $1.99, keep it sealed and return it with the $8 receipt

God damn that's cheap. Ok, I give up...I can't resist these deals even if it kills me (financially, of course). They also have

Planetside: Core Combat expansion for $5.99
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/238972.asp
Not a terrific deal, but if you've tried the recent 7 day free trial for it (http://cmt.ubisoft.fr/planetside_pcgamer/ , http://www.marcopolo.me.uk/psinstall.exe) and find you like it, it might be worth picking up if you can get the original game for cheap as well (Gamestop has it for $5 if it's in stock). Plus SOE charges $10 to upgrade to the CC expansion if you order it online, so this way you'd save yourself $4 if you were going to pick it up anyway.

Oh, and for those looking for a good preowned game to add to the cart to get free SAVER shipping, this is one of the best flight shooters out there for $2 (even 9 years later!). http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/120058.asp

Cag owns!!! I picked up...
-IGI2: Covert Strike
-Prisoner Of War
-Deus Ex: Invisible War
-Gladiator: Sword of Vengeance
-Maximum Underworld

I then used my $10 gift voucher, and w/ shipping and tax, it came out to...
$3.14!!!!!

I was thinking about grabbing this one. Shoot for 3 bucks you convinced me!

I purchased Max Payne back when it originally came out for full price. I lent it to a friend, who promptly lost it. He gave me a copy of Max Payne for Xbox to repay me, and while I was appreciative, I was still upset about losing the PC version (thank goodness I just finished the game days earlier). And I enjoy playing Max Payne titles on the PC over the consoles. This purchase makes me happy again, so many years later. :)

And when I tack on my ebGames Gamespot Complete discount, the product price for me becomes $1.79. :D I lose more money than that in change rolling around in my car.

Ah man... I was all worked up over seeing Silent Storm for $5, then it's OOS. Still might pick up the Max Payne/Mafia pack, but Silent Storm was a game I'd been keeping an eye out for deals on.

Most of those PC games are back in stock again. Whats kind of funny is that the Max Payne/Mafia bundle is $1.99 and Max Payne by itself is $2.99. I just thought that was interesting.

Bah, I can never get these cheep PC games. I guess timing is everything. The prices are back up as of a few mins ago.

I tried the other day to bundle in some cheep new PC games, was looking to try Silent Storm and Gladiator while I was buying the PO XB game Brutal Force for $4.50 mentioned in the other thread but couldn't find any of the cheep PC games. Since there were only 6 left of Brutal Force and I wanted to try that I processed the order.

Of course, after I received my order confirmation, I rechecked the EB website and lo and behold, there were all the 99 cent and 1.99 games back in stock! Sheesh! It's like the site was waiting till I completed my order before putting them back in stock. Oh well - thanks for the heads up. I'll keep checking back here to torture my self with cheep pc games I can't purchase.....

Now all I have to do is wait for Syphon Filter and Druaga to go back down to $10, and I'll be ready to check out...they need to drop, soon.

Theres some decent PP games pretty cheap though. Tony Hawks underground, True Crime and 007 E or N are $9.99 Preplayed.

Most of the $9.99 new games are there/ Manhunt, Hitman, Fight Club, Mafia

Much thanks to Pratt for the updates! :D It's actually tough to get in on some of these sales given how quickly EB's inventory goes out of stock sometimes.
