So, they added about 100 games to the deals section of their website today. Expect the prices on these to go down periodically, until they sell out.

So, not all the prices are fantastic, but right now i think some of them could be really good if they go down the same way that the deal games have gone down in the past.

Drill Dozer for the GBA is a good game and well worth $14. Definitely get it if you haven't already. It is one of the better platformers on the GBA.

I've been interested in trying Stranglehold out since I liked the demo. It is getting to a very nice price. Only problem is that I have too many other games to play/get right now. Maybe I'll cave and get it soon.

I'm gonna keep an eye on this thread, I think.
I'm sort-of interested in Stranglehold.
Is it worth $10 more for the SE, though? I'd like to see Hard Boiled before I play the game, I think.

If you can find it, the SE version is $20 new and Gamestop, and $17.99 used. If you find it used and have 10% off, that's a really good deal right there.

I guess there's pretty much no way to know whether SNK vs. Capcom is the good or defective version, eh?

I'd ASSUME it would be one of the latter productions of it, but I guess you never know. Might be worth a shot, since the return would be free...
Yup... Drill Dozer is totally worth it at that price. Stranglehold too...
Just a heads up. Target has Drill Dozer for $9.99 in the "value games" section.

There is also a "10% off used games" e-mail newsletter (GS thread) that stacks with the Edge 10% discount. Stranglehold for $14.39. ;)

Tempted by Armored Core 4. I enjoyed the demo, and I'm usually not much of a mech fan. AC4 seemed like it was a little faster paced than the genre usually is. Worth the $20?

great prices, thanks for the heads up. i wish timeshift was 19.99 like at EB/GS. at least they have it in stock. i can't find it anywhere here.
Wow, PS2 Rock Band for $120 shipped. Not bad.

Also Flipnic for $11.38. Was that good?
VG deal of the day $99.99 shpd today

A few more PS2 games I noticed:

God of War $16.99
God of War II $15.99
Kingdom Hearts $16.99
Katamari Damacy $9.99
Final Fantasy X $16.99
Final Fantasy X-2 $13.99

Agreed. Drill Dozer is one of the best handheld games I've ever played, simply because it's such a solid platformer.

BTW, for those who don't know: it's actually published by Nintendo!

I agree. I've liked about half the 2D platformers on the GBA/DS, and definitely think Drill Dozer is in the good half. Very interesting mechanic. Not my favorite platformer ever, but definitely worth playing.
Bummer. So a PC is not a "system"??? :(
Yeah, I know. Silly, isn't it? I love too when they make comparisons of like the PC versus "consoles" for sales figures, as though "consoles" is a single platform rather than the PC just being one of 7 currently active platforms. (As though you can buy a "Console" game that runs on anything.)

Still, Amazon usually has good deals on a lot of PC games, and check Gogamer.com and Circuit City.com. The former always has good deals, the latter's had some good stuff right now. Newegg sometimes has good deals too. (Unfortunately with all PC stuff anymore you've got to make sure it doesn't have "activation" or Starforce before you buy it, since so much garbage does now :( )

Holy crap, $10 for Metal Saga? Some people need to jump on that, like yesterday. That's one of my favorite games for the PS2, but it gets very little respect for some reason.
yeah metal saga is the only one I got.
Same here, and I dont know if its just me, but everything being sent out to me and my brother include two coupons for free southern chicken sandwiches at McDonalds. So an added benefit.

i also got those with my last amazon order.

Spyro Wii is also 20.09, I'm going to get Nights myself...
Also I've also been receiving those McD's coupons so I'll probably be using those pretty soon hahaha...

Cool!!! Thanks for the heads-up, OP!!!

I was thinking of re-buying MMX: Command Mission and BAM!!! It's in the deals!!! Kickass!

Disagree... I found the game boring and bleh. I couldn't get into it at all. But then again, I don't like platformers...
Star Fox Command is VERY sexy at that price.
I saw it at Circuit City yesterday for $16.96 in the clearance bin.
I saw it at Circuit City yesterday for $16.96 in the clearance bin.
Isn't that a bit of a RARE sighting (Bigfoot?)??? Or did SF just go on their clearance list??? I never find any big name games like that in Clearance bins. Unless we're talking Sonic or something...

For anyone who's interested in :gba:DRILL DOZER:gba: - saw it @ Target for $9.99!

Never played Nights but I heard it wasn't very good, Spyro is a pretty fun game if you like Adventure/platform games or are a fan of Spyro. Well worth the $20 IMO, some may think different

Stranglehold is a fun game...shallow, short, but fun. It has some of the most rewarding action/killing/explosions in a game, but it does feel very much like an on-rails shooter at times (linear level design). That said, I think its worth 20 if you like shooters (or if you really liked Max Payne, for example...it borrows a lot from that game, including the slo-mo effects when you dive)...I personally got it for 14 at target on clearance and didn't regret it.

On a small side note, I don't like the fact that most of the primary in-game cutscenes are videos with noticable compression artifacts, but yet they're all done with the game engine and few look like they include any advanced effects that couldn't have been done in real time. I don't like it when games do this...on an LCD (I use a VGA cable for my 360) you can instantly tell when something became a compressed video.

Just got a PS3, any good deals on ps3 games that are worth playing?
rock band for 360 via (amazon's) warehouse deals: $133.20 eligible for free shipping/prime.

it looks like there are only 3. they all say open box, but when i got mine, it looked brand new, basically. older stock though, dated 12/7. personally, this is the cheapest i've seen it.

Uh oh, watch out for that strum bar. I think my guitar lasted 1 1/2 months before I got it replaced.

I just got Timeshift @ Target for $20!!! You should get it there before they sell out. My store had them in the glass case, so don't just look in the end-caps!

Target also has American Idol (w/ Mic) for the 360 for around $25 (I believe). Not sure if they had it for the PS3, too...
