Hey guys, built my second computer and I'm having some troubles. Installed a copy of Windows Vista and now at the windows load screen, it lasts about a second there, flashes a BSOD (Too quick to read) and restarts my computer.

Now here's the tricky part. Running in safe mode it stops at crcdisk.sys every time, and then restarts. However, this does not happen to any other computers, just mine so it can't be the Hard Drive. I tried using different memory and removing the video card so those can't be a problem. The only thing left is the CPU or Mother Board.

If anyone can enlighten me, you get 20 cool points. Thanks for reading. If you need any other info just ask.

Well I can't do that now because I installed Linux just to make sure it wasn't a borked hard drive and it worked fine, I'll have to install Vista over again.

Anyhow John, it worked fine on a different computer, it just wouldn't work on mine. Thanks for the link though, I'll try that out ASAP.

More than likely, windows vista was installed on a sata controller that was set to IDE mode, and the other computers you test on were on IDE mode as well, but your new computer is set to AHCI for the sata, if that is the case you can change the mode in the bios, or enable the driver on another computer. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922976
