New Dual-color GBA
I think it looks pretty cool. A lot better than that fugly Boktai Black/Red one.
 Fugly?! You crazy, red and black kicks serious ace. It's like my whole wardrobe...well most of it centers around those two colors. I would have loved to own one, but of course it was too rich for my blood. I just settled for a red gba sp....personally I think this new limited edition sp is fugly...I just don't really see myself holding it...though it would match my gaming room area.

I wish they'd make us a NES version GBA like they made the Famicom Aniversary Edition one over in Japan. I'd likely buy a new GBA if they actually took the time to do a proper looking GBA case that looked like the NES Console.

That would be cool, but I'd actually like the Famicom look...the NES was kind of bland looking if you ask me. Just grey and black....maybe that is what they are going for in the platinum and black...they just need a little bit of red for the word Nintendo Entertainment System.

Valkryst - me want! :D Too bad it'll never happen in reality...

On another note, I was impressed by part of the page in the first post.. Here's a quote from the page's text:

While you're there, you might want to pick up a copy of the brand-new Metroid Zero Mission, also slated for a Feb. 9 release, to inaugurate your new Onyx-Platinum GBA SP, or any of the other more than 1800 titles that are available for Game Boy Advance.

Now I know that the GBA is backwards compatible, and that the system has been out for 14 some years, but 1800 games? Holy crap! And that's probably not taking into account Japanese and European only releases...

Man, seen that cool pic makes me want to try and paint my own GBA that color... too bad the buttons wouldn't be the right color, and I don't think those would be paintable, or at least they'd lose the color...

*edit* I mean the one posted in this thread :) Not the dual color one.

the dual color thing IMO is......ugly? cant find other word. the color just dont seem....idk but just doesnt look right. it may be nice to have if you're a collector tho.

it looks like they had a bunch of spare screens from the black one, and a bunch of spare bottom pieces for the platinum, so they come out with this wonderful "special" edition. haha

I hate the dual tone plat/onyx GBA sp... I totally dig the Boktai one, I think its spectacular although red and black are my fave colors.

God damn my friend bought a flame SP, I have a platinum.. I want to like jack his SP being that I am redgopher, of course, must have the flame sp.... must.. have... flame... but now I can't cos he's got it.. matching shit is stupid...

/me goes off to his padded cell

I don't really like the setup....don't like it at all. But if this was a limited time collector's edition like the lime green or gold ones I would consider getting it much more then.

That's funny, cuz I'm going to pick up a Limited Edition SP tommorow. I said hey, what the hell, I'm gettin' a new SP, might as well be the "limited edition" one.

yeah, you can never ever get the same color as your friends. it never works that way, if they got it first, you MUST get something different, or else they'll rag on you. i hate the dual color gba sp too, just looks like its a "boot-legged" version, all "ghetto-ized."

Woohoo! I just picked up my Limited Edition SP! I totally think that the color you pick should reflect your personality. If your a little zany, get a Flame. If your a little more mellow and quiet, maybe even a little goth-y-ish, get an Onyx. If your one of those high tech modern people, get a Platinum. And if you don't fit into any of the above, or if your just a normal person, go for a Cobalt. I have a multi-facited personality. I can be an insane spaz one minute, a weird quiet sits-in-the-corner-by-himself dude the next. So the dual tone SP fits me.
