I had about 130$ from flipping games from the kmart clearances to trade in at ebgames during the trade 3 games get 10$ extra bonus over the summer. Plus from looking through the clearance racks at kmart i ended up getting a lot of games to keep for myself as well thus boosting my collection!
Ebgames/gamestop has tons of cheap used games, you just have to look for the right titles. Buy low, sell high, take advantage of promotions and you will do well with ebgames/gamestop.
The used game prices DO fluctuate though, so if you see a price you like, buy it on the spot, because a week later the price may have gone up again, its ridiculous but true. Honestly i dont think the chain sells that many used games, at least here, no one wants to give a used game as a gift, so they are very easy to obtain here, plus the stores here are chock full of the same used games they have had for months.
The best deal right now is trade in your gamecube with 20$ extra for a total of 45$ trade in for your gamecube, it might be 50$ though, i am not sure, since gamestop sells that gamecube for 59.99 (who is actually going to buy a gamecube at that price lol), they will eventually lose money on this since the price of the cube is dropping very fast and they will not be able to sell their excess inventory.
If you are REALLY smart, you will save all your video game systems no matter the age of them for ebay, and sell the week after thanksgiving on ebay, that is when consoles are fetching their highest prices, i watched the prices for a long time on ebay, and even if something is older it WILL fetch good money during that week. I just sold a gameboy color that i picked up at a yard sale for 1$ with a bunch of junk accessories and 1 game for 30$..... that wont happen any other time of the year, they usually go for 10-15$ tops on ebay.
