awsome!!

it looks rather likely that i will try to get in on the trade 2 games get halo 2 for $25 deal.

i have a question about the exclusions, though. is there any way to find out which games are excluded? i mean, if there isn't a way i'll just take a bunch of games with me, in case some of them are excluded, but i would like to know what's going on with them beforehand if possible. any help would be appreciated. thanks.
$10 Bonus Trade-in Credit on 3 PS2/XB/GC games - NO EXCLUSIONS
Will this only work for the first three or any and as many groups as three as you want?
Finally find something to do with all of these Club Worlds I got from TRU if it's more than once.

the buy 1 pre-played get another 50% doesnt sound like a bad deal. Hopefully you can use your Edge card with it as well.

If you can use the edge card, it's a good deal. Think about it like this, if you get to games that are priced the same (which you should always do to maximize your discount) you'll have a 25% savings just from the deal. Edge card would get you another 10% ~ tax.

But I usually wait out for the buy 2 get one free and try to get games that all cost the same - and you'll end up with 33% off. Picked up Silent Hill 2, Onimusha 2, and metal gear solid (ps1) for $16 at gamestop last week.

I might use the trade 3 for $10 since there's no exclusion - Haven, jampack, and maximo for $10.75 in credit. I usually don't do this but maybe another run to TRU tomorrow?
Oh crap, I was thinking it was $10 for each game and up to three.. not three for $10.. crap crap crap.
still not bad if you trade in some old sports titles, and if they arent excluded, getting rid of the jampacks and exhibitions would be nice to.

Looks like I'll have Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles in a few days.... even though it wasn't the most enjoyable game single player, I can play it multiplayer now.

If the deal is exactly like what the OP wrote, no exclusions, then I'm thinking jampacks will work. I went in with a jampack last week and they offered me $0.25 for it so it should work again. Sports games should also work, too bad I don't have any.

I'm thinking of trading in Maximo so that I have 3 games, and then probably buy it back from online or something. I just really wanted to get rid of Haven which I paid $5 for

Hooray for 3 Trade-Ins for $10!!! Now I can off-load some crap titles that were on the exclusion list. Unfortunately, I'll have to step foot in my local EB to do it. But, at least, I will get Crystal Chronicles & Paper Mario out of it.

yes, it will work for every three games you trade in. though stores aren't supposed to take more than one of the same game in a transaction, so getting rid of multiple copies of games from TRU is unlikely.

Thats why, if you were smart, you would have gotten a stockpile of 3 different "Free" coupon games from TRU so you can maximize your balance at EB. Perhaps not a lot of people from that thread are posting on this yet.

However, for those guys who bought nearly 60 games, this could work out retardedly well for them. Considering they're not actually excluding anything, it'd be best to unload those crap value games (Jampack comes to mind) now since you're getting more than 10x it's EB Value.

That being said, I already have a friend in the area plotting to just routinely hit EB and Blockbuster all next week and get basically Free Money (Plus the cost of gas going to and from), from this whole ordeal.

I must say, for those that grabbed opportunity this holiday season, you could make out really very well.

Me?

I'll stick to the few games I got from TRU and enjoy them-- but I'll certainly hark some of the benefits of this Dark Side route.

Nice, trade in a few crapptastic games for the extra $10 trade-in credit, pick up a bunch of used stuff BOGO 50% off combined with my dozens of 30% off used game coupons from cashforstash.com. I'll also have to pick up Crystal Chronicles and maybe Paper Mario depending on how much I like it when I get it from gamefly. I love free 6-month subscriptions through mickyDs. Can't wait till next year's monopoly. I guess the first wek of school after break won't be so bad after all.

EDIT: Edited for readabitity. Yay!

I think you need to edit that edit bro.
ha. word to that.

Looks like I'll be picking up the new Paper Mario sooner than I expected, if all goes well, I'll even be able to play it right away.

Sorry, can't tell you why I bought Fight Club because of the 1st and 2nd rules. Seriously, I know it's been slammed all over but EB has it for $10 and it's worth $22 w/MVP at local Gamecrazy. Missed out on the free TRU games so I gotta make up for it someplace. ;-)

The ad for trade 3 PS2/XB/GC games & get a $10 bonus credit has a highlighted tagline: "All games are accepted. No Exclusions!". Nothing in the fineprint contradicts this either. Goes from 1/3-1/30.

Here is the link for the exclusion list that is located on their website.

yah my toys r us had nothign so couldn't take advantage of that.... what about games at your local eb's? like super old sports games, would you be able to buy them for cheap then trade them in?

i put the exclusion list in alphabetical order, i don't know if i should post it or not, so for now PM me if you want it

also if you want to get some preownd games at EBgames to trade in as a select game, look for games that say don't say POX. POX means Pre Owned Xcluded, meaning that for sure they can't be traded in as a select game (what manager said)

but i warn you, not every single game that doesn't say POX works
i learned this the hard way, the nice employee scanned a few games before i traded them right back in, i had to go through 6 PO games before i found two that worked

hope this helps
$10 trade-in bonus is quite nice.

Why the heck is EB doing that though? That's a sure money loss when a bunch of people bring in Madden 2001 x100.
Gets you in the store and more likely than not you'll spend your $10 and change plus more money to buy other games.

i think it's just to build up a preplayed library in most stores again. Of course, I can't speak for everyone, but I know in my district, more stores are really running low on preplayed merchandise.

I noticed someone talking about the Fight Club deal. Sadly, the trade in price of the game dropped from $25 to $7 today. (Although Coconuts/FYE are still giving $19 for it) Looks like a price drop is coming right after that coupon ends.

I'd say that's crazy only assholes would do that . . . but then again, I traded in $30 worth of TRU purchases (plus a couple other games) for $157 in EB credit.

3 times I traded in Xenosaga, Tenchu, and Mafia (not excluded!) plus 1 more game to get $50 games (the after Xmas deal) . . . I returned them all for $150 on a giftcard but they also gave me the sales tax that I never paid!

I was planning on getting Steel Battalion (sealed one at my local!) but I've gotten cold feet . . . still might get it . . . maybe it will go down in price . . . its too big and I'll never play it . . . but its the coolest game-thing ever . . . maybe I'll get it . . . I got the credit to get it . . . I could buy 15 cheap games . . .

Go for it. That thing looks hella cool.

lol, but I can see your apprehension, that's a bit much for an accessory. But heck, it sounds like you worked it around enough where you actually wouldn't have that much invested in it anyway. :)

I got the flyer today so I decided to type up the deals again since a few were missed.
