New Game I Don't Want. What should I do?

I was recently at my local Best Buy and they had a table out near checkout with games for all systems that were half off their marked price. I didn't see anything great but I did snag Bionicle Heroes for XB360 at a decent price. I thought I might throw it up on Goozex or try eStarland for a trade in credit, but I'm not crazy about its value on those sites. Any other suggestions of what I can do with this sealed game? Obviously, some kind of flip would be cool. Thanks.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I bought it for well below retail price and it hasn't been used/returned/opened so the last thing I want to do is return it and get back what I paid for it. I guess my question is what are the usual spots people go to or sites they look at to trade/flip games for trades or credit when they find a really good deal? We are CAGs after all. Thanks again

If it's still new & sealed, you can return it within 30 days. If it's not sealed, then you either need to trade it at a retail store or online, or sell it on here.

If you paid $10 or more, take it back. The most GS will give guessing from the price they have it used will be $7. There's a reason why Best Buy puts turds like that up in the front.
If it was half price at bestbuy take it to walmart and get full price.
Or you could not commit fraud which in turn makes stores have to change their return policies, screwing over the honest people.

Yeah, why would anyone want to screw over an honest company like Wal-Mart?
Yeah, why would anyone want to screw over an honest company like Wal-Mart?
Because obviously I meant Wal-Mart and not the customers who legitimately want to return something they bought there without a receipt. Even if you don't agree with Wal-Mart's business practices, it doesn't give you the right to break the law.

How is that illegal? It is just taking advantage of the system walmart has in place. It could legitimately just be a gift without a receipt.

No it could not be. The word could implied that's a possibility, and in this case, there is no chance of that.

I think you have the words illegal and unethical confused. This is not illegal. You are simply taking advantage of a company's return policy. No where does it state that they refuse items purchased from a different store. It's the company that allows receiptless returns. They know some items come from a different store, which is why they have the "3x a year" rule.

Aaaaaaannnnnnyyyyywaaaaaaaaayyyyy...thanks for the smart ass remarks (no, really, those were funny) and walmart discussion. I guess its not really worth anything. I think I'll put it up on Goozex.

I'll throw my 2 cents in about the walmart return policy. It is not illegal. Personally, I don't think its unethical either, considering how walmart screws over a lot of thier own employees. As far as I know, Walmart can afford to have that kind of return policy when it has a thirty percent market share. Wanna know who really suffers when you take advantage of the "generous" return policy? Check out a documentary called "Walmart:The High Cost Of Low Prices"

I'd just return it. An effective flip requires planning. You have to know what to buy, how much to buy, where to take it, and how much to flip at one time. In most cases you have to buy more than one game to make it worth your while...

Feel free to put it up on Goozex, but I'd be willing to bet that the value gets pushed down to 100 pts. before someone takes that turd off your hands.

Walmart knows that people will return things there without a receipt that didnt buy the item from there, part of the reason they limit the amount of times it can be done, and that it only can be done for store credit... still not saying it is ethical to take advantage, but it is what happens

Check secondspin.com for trade in values on it at FYE or wherehoure music stores, they add 25% to that for store credit, although sometimes the actual trade in value will vary (well trade in is at 12 before extra 20%... noone knows what you paid for this, you are being awfully cryptic with this whole thread... its only ONE game and a crappy one at that, if you paid more than 10 for it you got ripped)

Got mine for 10 from Walmart a few weeks back

It's to cover legitimate returns by their customers who lost their receipt, not for some unethical people to try and scam money out of Walmart.

If you didn't purchase an item at a retailer and you take it back to that retailer to "return" it to them, it's fraud. Regardless of Walmart's policies, if you didn't buy the game there and try to return it there, it's fraud. Which is illegal and unethical.

Why should we care about the morons who legitimately shop at Wal-Mart?

FRISBEE!
To add, use the case as a replacement case and when you're done using the frisbee turn it into a Christmas tree ornament or a decoration on the wall!

I'd wait for a deal at Gamestop to when there's bonus credit for trading in games and use it to supplement any other lousy games you might have found for cheap elsewhere.
1. Buy crappy games at discount prices.
