XB M Rated and Platinum Hits(includes only those games that come in the blue cases and say VALUE Software on them, does not mean all M games and Platinum Hits)

Cool, Thanks! I think I've seen the Xbox and PS2 Value games at 50% off before, but only for a limited time.

Anybody have any idea of the Xbox games that are the value games? and at about what price they are with the 50% off?

I think all the Xbox value games are $20, so they'd be $10 after the discount(there may be some for $15 but I don't think so). Unreal Tournament, Namco Museum, Dead to Rights, Pac-man World 2 are a few games that come in that value packaging.
dead to rights...yay or nay?
If you can get it for ~5 bucks, then yes.
Damn, I was hoping FF Tactics would be on there /sigh oh well.
FFT is 50% off. i got it for $7.50. it was a long time ago. early sept i think.

Thanks tubtub! This gives me new motivation to visit my Toys'R'Us to check out the new green tag games as well as the old ones. You're a great help.

Okay, stupid question time, does this mean a sticker over the original price tag's UPC?

TRU seems to be sending 10 off 50 coupons in the mail too. Got one today myself, so you may want to check your box within the next day or so and maybe get an even better deal.

Yes, I've seen several copies of FF:T for $7.50. My store had a 2-disk set and the normal 1-disk. The 2-disk one wasn't on sale, but the 1-disk one was, but they were in different parts of R-Zone (the discount copy being in one of their bins).
There's no GC games? Not that it matters. I'll have to check Def Jam Vendetta (GC) the next time I'm there.
Yeah, I was curious about GC games too. Does anyone know of any GC green tag games?

I got Final Fantasy Tactics on it's release date in 1998, and there has never been a two-disc set. Not sure what you think you saw, but there is no two-disc FFT.

No GBA games? Darn...

Does anyone know the end of the green tag sale? I'm hoping that they'll have another round or two of clearance games, but I'm not sure how much longer the sale will be running for...
so all Greatest Hits games are $10?
Sorry, but no they're not. I think they're 2 for $30 at the moment, though.

Anyway, I went to check out TRU today in Orem, Utah and picked up Magic Pengel (PS2) for $10.

so all Greatest Hits games are $10?

Only the Greatest Hits games in the white packaging that say VALUE SOFTWARE are part of the 50% off sale.

Okay, stupid question time, does this mean a sticker over the original price tag's UPC?
Yes, there is a white sticker covering the original UPC. The white sticker has a different UPC on it.

No GC or GBA games were added to the list, but they've said they will be adding stuff every so often to the green tag sale. They even set up a way for employees to recommend items they may have lots of that are old to be added to the sale. So there will be more things added.

There are also a few coupons going out in the mail. I think there is a $10 off $50, $10 off $75, $5 off $25, 10% off entire purchase, and I think a 20% off any one item(all exclude diapers and systems).

Sweet, I havelots of games to reccomend that should be added to the sale. How about us CAGers list games and you can be our guy on the inside "reccomending" these games for the 50% sale?

I'll start us off
Metroid Prime 2 Echoes
Halo 2
Burnout 3
Fable

its true that there is no FFT that is 2disc set. i remember seeing ratchet and clank with the UPC sticker over another UPC but doesnt have the plastic case around. will that be 50%off? some games have the UPC sticker on the GH games but dont have the plastic case. i wonder will they be all 50% off.

I think there are some value software GT3s, so it would be in the deal, too. For those confused, TRU received a ton of games they called value software and that come in special packaging and have "Value Software" stickers on them. These titles just shipped randomly and aren't kept track of in inventory under their original names. They are just called things like "Action/Adventure" or "Racing" and theres a lot of games under that one title/number. So you could find a copy of a game, such as Turok which was $9.99 in the regular packaging, but $19.99 in the Value Software packaging(or vice versa). All the value software packaging has a white label placed over the original UPC because thats how its kept track of since if the original UPC was rung up it would be sold as "Turok" and not value software. Basically, just look for games that either come in white plastic cases and say value software or games on the shelf that may have a Value Software label and a white sticker over the UPC. Your store may have tons of Jak and Daxter, but only the ones with the white label on the UPC are 50% off.

As long as it has the sticker over the UPC, it will be 50% off. You're correct, though, I don't think Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank shipped in the white cases. They only shipped them as normal games with a value software sticker and a white label over the UPC.

I wish. Too bad that would never make it through.

remember when the sale started and some of us had trouble with Devil May Cry ringing up at full price due to that white sticker over the UPC? does this mean that it'll finally ring up at half off now?

I saw the following games at my TRU : (Price is before 50% off)

GC Sphinx/cursed mummy 12.99
GC Rogue Ops 19.99
GC Blood Omen 19.99
GC Harry Potter Quidditch 19.99
GC Zapper
GC Worms Blast 19.99
GC Bust a move 3000
GC Dead to Rights 19.99
GC Gladius 49.99
GBA Cima the enemy 29.99
GBA Onimusha Tactics

There were also some GBA titles for kids that I didn't check out and some sports games for the GC.

TRU is having a sale on PS2 Greatest Hits Games this week. They are 2 for $30. When you check out with two GH games, the register automatically takes $5 off of each game.

When I went today, this discount was applied in addition to the 50% off.

I took Gran Turismo 3 to the register to see if it was on sale. (It was not in the white plastic, but it did have a new upc sticker.) It rang up as $19.99. The next game to be scanned was Ratchet and Clank. The computer then applied the $5 GH discount to each game, and then took 50% off of Ratchet and Clank.

End result: Gran Turismo 3 for $15 and Ratchet and Clank for $7.50

I also purchased
Jak and Daxter for $10
Slipheed for $7.50 (white plastic value packaging)
PS2 F1 game by 989 for $10 (white plastic value packaging)

The copies of Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank that I bought were both GH versions and both had new UPC stickers covering the original UPCs.

I scanned Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & they both showed as $9.99, would they recieve a $5 off for being greatest hits too? $10 is a good deal, but I asked them to check if they were all red banner and they were, but for $15 (if that $5 applies I'd have tobend, lol)

Darn. My Bad. Now I'll have to go back and look. Maybe they stuck two in one of the plastic cases and it looked like a set. I guess that's probably what happened. Sorry guys.

Well I went to TRU today since you guys said FFT was half off as well. It was never half off even when they began the sale(september?) becuz I checked back then and its not on sale now either. It might be YMMV. I bought it anyways, its $15, same as at Fry's.

What? Here is a proof:

Never say never :D

The ratchet and clank and Jak and Daxter green tag games won't give you both deals. It will ring up $10 for each game and thats the cheapest you'll get it for. But if you get one of those games and another Greatest Hit. It will give you Jak and Daxter or Ratchet and Clank for $10 plus the other greatest hit for $15. They've been updating the promotion so they may have fixed that, but it was doing that yesterday and may still work.
