I'm hoping to get some opinions on my situation. I currently have an 80gb PS3 (fat bc) and I'm out of hard drive space. The system has gotten a black screen (no picture, but sound) a couple of times and required a system reset (no lost data though). I don’t know why.
I can buy a new 320gb hard drive for $95 or I can buy a new 320gb PS3 for $275. Gamestop has a promotion to trade in your ps3 for $110. I don't want to sell on Craigslist or Ebay though due to the potential black screen issue.
My buddy has a new 250gb PS3 he's trying to unload, but I don't know what a fair offer is. Any thoughts?
One way or the other I need a larger hard drive. I just have too much stuff on there and have to upgrade. My total out of pocket could be as little as $95. Or with a trade in, as much as $165. That is a difference of $70 for a larger hard drive and newer system. There are misc. plusses and minuses which I could go into, but I think they even out.
I don’t see the PS3 dropping in price or having any super deals until closer to the holidays. Thanks for any opinions on what I should do.
