New Metal Gear Rising Trailer

Not sure why everyone's saying this look like DMC. To me it's a lot closer to Ninja Gaiden. Look at the way the character poses. There's also an Izuna Drop like air combo move, the way he whips the blood off the sword, the speed of the combat... everything just screams Ninja Gaiden.
Whether it's a good game or not, it's still up in the air. As being a Metal Gear title, sure it's not traditional. It still doesn't mean it suck. I can always overlook the title if it's a good gameplay wise game and just imagining myself playing a new IP like Bayonetta. Same thing goes with Ninja Gaiden 3. Sure it's no comparasion to the original games but I think of it as a new hack n slash IP and play it as a game would be called "Super Ninja Slasher". The gameplay isn't really that bad in a mindless kind of way.

I lost pretty much all interest when I saw the last trailer (when they first labeled it "Revengence")... it just didn't seem like a good fit. But after seeing this, I too am interested (re-interested?).

Yeah... before that it was just Metal Gear Solid Rising, when Konami was working on it. It was labeled Metal Gear Solid Rising: Revengence once Platinum Games took over-- that's what I meant when I said "when they first labeled it Revengence".

I was thinking the same thing. Looks like a Ninja Gaiden game in the Metal Gear Solid universe, but that's okay.
