New! mousin's Free Magazine thread!
Anyone know where I can get a free video game magazine subscription now that EGM is dead? Haha
The only damn game magazine I get in the mail now is Game Informer... and I wouldn't even be getting that if not for it being bundled with the Edge Card at Gamestop.
Already says depleted. I always miss out.
the email i received said it was good till march 5th i believe... sorry bout that.
I would not sign up for this one. I got a lot of spam afterward and never got the mag. Just a warning YMMV
I got Remedy, but it's a free mag no matter where you order it from, pretty much. Just a bunch of ads. They sell your name, address, e-mail to everyone they can.

I'm interested in getting Interview, but I can't seem to find the right combination of business & job function titles to let me select it. Bummer! Anyone have any luck?

I just chose student for all the industry and job function thingys and everything worked fine.

Argh!! Still can't get it to work for me. I chose other-->student-->other-->student, and still got nothing. I've tried a few variations as well. I really do hate freebizmag.

A lot of times this implies that they're out of free subs. It's not that you don't have the right combo of things (it will take just about anything) but that they're out of free subs to give out.

Not sure if it's been posted yet but here's the front page of rewardsgold free magazines so you know exactly what they are offering at this time, check back often to see when they come out with new ones.

Btw I just got Esquire magazine today that I had signed up for awhile ago through rewardsgold.

Also, word came down today that Blender is going the way of EGM and the lot...
http://www.examiner.com/x-2136-NY-M...-magazine-shutters-Another-one-bites-the-dust
Good riddance, I canceled my Blender subscription a few years ago. The last straw for me was 2 months after the Ashlee Simpson SNL blunder they did a concert review for Ashlee and gave her three stars for her concert. It proved my suspicions that Blender was taking money from the labels to push the record labels "hot new artists".

You gotta love their game reviews, especially when they review games that are months away from release (and not even close to being finished) and give them glowing scores.

Good call! I used the 9aaasmxz code. Didn't try beyond 9, so not sure what that would be. Maybe 0?

How'd you get these codes?

Gamestop has a book of these in the store to be handed out for any Wii purchases of $30+ (or 40?). In any case, it expires tomorrow so I took two pages. You can work the codes backwards as well. I have 5-- but figured 4-. People may not have redeemed them.

Nice pickup then! I snagged 2, didn't want to be greedy, but I did not that I could work them backwards the whole way to "1" and "r" and they seemed to work. I'd be interested to know where it goes back from there. If I could crack that code, I might snag one more.

ah yeah, wish i knew better about the code specifically, i guess i didnt realize how it worked till i got home and examined the slips. but maybe (for future see-ers of this post) go to gamestop quick and see if you can get a few.

I think I cracked it. Tested with a couple.

If you have
5aaasmxv

the new code becomes
5aaasmyv

or

5aaasmzv

It's just an ascending letter change! So that means
6aaasmzw
6aaasmyw

work as well!

great work! I guess I was too lazy to crack it myself but glad someone did.

It actually works as far back as 6aaasmaw
