Gamestop has 500gb PS3s for $219.99. They usually retail for $250, so I'm thinking this is a pretty solid deal if I pricematch it at Best Buy or Target.

Any advice?

A couple of weeks ago, Target had (and may still have) a couple of deals going on:

- $190 for 12 GB with some Call of Duty game bundled (good deal if you're planning to upgrade to 1 TB, which costs around $80 or $90)

- $240 for 500 GB with Lego Batman 3 (disc) and the Sly Cooper collection (digital, three games)

And then you can take off 5% with a Target credit card, which makes the second bundle cost close to the price of the Gamestop deal you're seeing.

Just a couple of extra options to consider.  I'm not sure whether the sale is still going on, but if not, I bet it'll come back.  I've seen other console deals pop back up a couple of weeks after expiring.

Check the Amazon Warehouse deals thread in the video game deals section. They have like new and new etc used console bundles for great prices. They often Zell quickly so you have to be fast. With Amazon you also know you get a good return policy also if you get one you don't like the condition of.

A lot of CAGs say that they are open box new in some cases.

Just an alternative if you don't mind a used setup.

Unless you have plans out of the gate to use up 500GB of space quickly, I'd go with that GS deal.  You can always upgrade the drive later, if you do need more drive space.
